I call them "Baked" potatoes but a friend calls them "Jacket" potatoes and further insists that referring to them as "baked" is a sign of being "common". Really? Give me strength! She IS a bit of a Hyacinth......
Common as muck, me. I say baked potatoes. It describes how they are cooked not what they are wearing. You can describe an unpeeled boiled potato as a jacket potato, you cannot describe it as a baked potato.
Baked potatoes need to be crispy and definitely cooked in an oven.. must get some nice large potatoes and relish being common.. what a perculiar woman she must be..
