Dog will not go anywhere today.

Frank my barney is all curled up in his fleece and had to be picked up and carried outside for his little "walk" at 6am his little paw's didn't look as though they had touched the snowy ground you would have thought he was on hot coals the way he performed,he is now watching me from the lounge with his little eye's saying "mum I am here for the day no walkies for me it's too cold" it certainly is a dogs life.

My dog has gone to doggie daycare for the day. She charges round with 30 other dogs of all shapes, makes and sizes, and I will pick her up at 5 pm. She has a ball there, playing and doing a bit of training, and will come home tired and hungry, then sleep all evening in front of the fire. Great life!

My dog will not have any sort of blanket over him. He will not even have a coat on. Other cairns have tarten coats on around here.
We have an Indian family who has a cairn terrior named Abdul. They look after him very well and bought him a tarten coat and collar when they noticed that is what the other dogs have.
The children keep telling me he is Indian but I do not think that is correct but they have told me he likes a bit of mild curry.

Frank when we first got barney he had not had a good life at all he had none of the pleasures in life I'm afraid he was kept outside by his previous owner,it took a lot of tlc to get him to where he is to-day,he came to us 4 yrs ago from the dog pound and had to be treated with kid gloves at first but he is now treated by all the family as if he has been here all his life and certainly settled his little paws under the table.

I had a little cocker spaniel Rosie she loved the snow, she lay in front of the french doors and at the first sign of a flake she would do circles and bark to be out and I would have a terrible job getting her to come in, and when we went out for a walk her legs would end up looking like a poodle with balls of snow on each paw, it still makes me smile when I see snow and think of her antics

My Maximum Dog loved leaping about in the snow in winter almost as much as he loved to paddle in piles of leaves in the autumn.

My cats keep going out, having a chase around for a few seconds then dashing in. When it snows they always go mad, using the house like the 'Wall of Death', knocking things flying!

I was lucky enough to win a king-size duvet in a Gnet competition. It arrived last week and it's divine. We are toasty. So toasty that I've just gone into the bedroom and booted the two Jack Russells out from a newly discovered sub duvet paradise. The two little humps gave them away and so did the wagging tails.

I don't have a dog, mainly because of our travels; I do have a granddog who lives nearby though. I love the doggy stories (and the cat ones!) thanks for making me smile, folks and dogs! when doggy daycare sound riotous.

I remember how some cats walk in snow - lifting each paw in order and shaking it! Really cute.

I'd have loved to see merlotgran's little dogs under the duvet!!

Haven't seen snow for 33 years now, since living in the subtropics. It tried to snow when I visited my sister near Paris Nov 2001, but it never settled.

I recall (in my youth) seeing our cat's head come ploughing through the snow in the garden. Was he a specially hardy Scottish kind of cat?

Benny, my little terrier, loves the snow. Today it was like he knew it was snowing as he ran to the back door this morning and then ran outside getting very giddy before facing me and barking again. He loves for me to throw snowballs in the air for him to catch and chase around the back garden.

No chance of barney catching snowball's the only chasing he would be doing was to find the nearest duvet.At the moment he is lying prostrate legs in air dreaming I think of what he is having for dinner by the sound of things.

Andie my dog is getting a bit bored.
He has been about a mile with me but would not go further.
I think he hopes I can just get rid of the snow.
I think he is getting enough exercise as he is walking around the house a lot.

My dog Nell has been charging round the bushes in the garden and brought a mound of snow into the kitchen, which she shook off and managed to cover me with. The smell of warm damp dog does linger, doesn't it?

when she reminds me of our old Bonnie she had to have her ears dried every time she came in when snow was on the ground what is it with Bassets and snow they love it,I've not long been home from work and barney looks as though he has not moved an inch since I went out this morning and he is as warm as toast,I do think he is feeling the cold though as he must be getting on in years the pound could not give us a true age for him and over the past year he has really slowed down poor old man,mind you so has mr.glamma so I am on a loser here I think.
