we had a goldfish Tiddler that we won at a fair about 18 months ago. Tiddler has always seemed a bit lonely so on DS birthday last week we bought another one. We did as advised and bought one about the same size but today we found our poor Tiddler dead and I feel so guilty as it was my idea to get another fish. Any idea what went wrong? 
I don't know what goes wrong but my daughter bought two goldfish and after a couple of months one died. They replaced it several times and each time the replacement died after a couple of weeks. The "Black Widow" has living alone for months now and is presumably happy 
We are thinking of getting another one so if that one also bites the dust we will have to assume the second one is a bully who likes to live alone. I only bought the original fish a friend as I read they need stimulation! I did wonder if the new fish was pinching all the food but what a horrible way to go! We did however have a formal funeral conducted by DS 
I was out in Sussex today and drove past a newsagent's shop - there was a sign outside saying 'Police called in over killer goldfish' Unfortunately the shop was closed but my mind is still boggling 
People should be told!!! We might all have a killer in the fish tank
We thought we would like to have a goldfish , as we had for lots of years when they were small .
Went down to Pet City and were told No we can"t sell you one .
Why on earth not ?
Because these goldfish are in aquariums .
If you put them into one of the old fashioned round goldfish bowls , they will die within weeks .
So what happens if we lie and say we have an aquarium , well if the fish does die we can"t be responsible .
Wonder what they would do ? would they send round the fish police ?
SO , our dreams of having a little Jimmy swimmimg round were dashed .
