That's so clever. What a wonderful job they do. I hope to give a home to rescue dogs one day. I have 3 cats.

Hopefully that will be us in the next month or so. My DH has agreed we can get another dog and I can't wait. The house seems so empty without a dog.

The only thing I would say about the advert, is that the two dogs we see would be snapped up in an instant - especially the spaniel. It's a shame they didn't use less attractive dogs, it would still have worked as well. Kennels are full of Staffie crosses and dogs that are too old to be insured. sad

One of the best adverts ever IMO.Have been showing it to all and sundry ever since I first saw it, whether they like it or not.

Thank you. Good to find somewhere to chat about things which interest me and obviously others.

I am new to Gransnet.com but agree the Dogs Trust ad really tugs at your heartstrings.
Well done Nana & Gramps for helping with the dogs.
A gransnet.com dog sounds great, maybe sponsorship.

Yes, I sponsor a Staffie called 'Eric' through DT. He's Irish and cannot be rehomed because of his background. But he does send us lovely letters telling us of his progress.

ah a bit like 'take your dog to work day' BeccaGransnet .

Proven to relieve stress in the work place ( unless not housetrained) smile

Or maybe a virtual dog?

<sniff>

Methinks we need a Gransnet dog.

Now that's a tearjerker !!

We have a new Dogs Trust property opened not far from us and we go in with DGS3 aged 4 to 'love' the dogs. We take old towels and blankets and and balls we can scrounge and donate them.

If there are puppies and the staff are not busy sometimes we help to socialise them ( he is used to dogs).

I have to smile when he tells the staff at preschool that we went to see the dogs looking for their forever homes.
