Jessy disappeared

Glad she came home. Cats rarely get stuck in Trees, although they do often get fastened in a shed or something as they are so nosey . Always worth putting flyers out to ask people to check their sheds/garages. The longest one of our cats went was a month, then he turned up at the front door one night as though nothing had happened !

It is good to know she is back. Is there a reason why the cat has to drink special cat milk? Or is that a gimmick to make cat owners spend more money.

It sounds like the baby food manufacturers promoting people to buy "Adaptamil follow on milk2 for weaned babies when you can just give them the full cream milk.

You could try Lactose free milk

I thought that cows milk wasn't really good for cats? Could be wrong etc!

Actually, dairy stuff in general, although the late and much loved Maurice would do anything for a bit of cheese (referred to in his presence as "solid dairy product") and would almost lose all manners and nearly have your fingers for Stilton!

Thank you all for kind and helpful comments, jessy did come home home after few days but now another problem, whiskas have changed their cat milk to new recipe which is thin and cat doesn't like it now, she used to love it and as she doesn't eat much it was a good supplement, tried other makes they are all the same. I am thinking of trying evaporated milk, cats always used to have cows milk, has anyone tried it?

They can be a worry can't they. Would not be without our lot though. So pleased that Jessy is home with you again.

Yo ho!! You do wonder where they get to though. Did you see the TVs programme based in Brighton and surrounding areas. Most of the cats on there seemed to consider most homes as belonging to them.

Are you on Facebook? Most areas have dedicated 'Lost and Found cats and dogs' Facebook pages. Or if there isn't one of these pages for your area, you could post an update yourself, with a picture of Jessy, and ask people to please check their sheds and outhouses, and ask them to share your post so that it reaches a wider readership.

Do hope your little cat comes home soon honeypot. Our cats used to go off for days at a time but on one occasion our Tiggy had been gone for a few weeks. We took the children to a local park and who should come rushing to greet us but a beautiful tabby cat , Tiggy! We popped the cat in the car to take him home and noticed that he seemed a bit uneasy in our company. At home, a photo of the missing pussy was found and , oh no! Wrong cat! We drove back to the park without delay and, checking that nobody was watching, released the 'kitnap'. Well, lots of tabby cats do look nearly identical.

We went on holiday once and our neighbour was feeding our cat, who promptly went walk about. She, of course was frantic, and the cat was still missing when we got back, in spite of vets having been contacted and posters put up in the local area. Three weeks later she wandered in through the kitchen door as if nothing was amiss, looking perfectly well. It happens a lot with cats. I'm sure, as someone has said upthread, she's just been accidentally shut in someone's shed or garage somewhere, and someone will hear or notice her.

She could have wandered into a garden shed and be accidentally shut in? There's still lots of time for her to come home. Don't despair (but I do know the feeling, having been there myself). Keep us informed.

One of my cats vanished for a fortnight, honeypot43. Just reappeared in the kitchen one morning well-fed and watered as if nothing had happened and never left again. He was a nervous cat who used to shadow his brother everywhere, so I can't imagine where he'd been. Fingers crossed for you.

Put up posters. Speak to the receptionist at the vet's. Hope she is found soon.

Don't despair Honeypot there is still time for Jessy to come home. She could just stroll in (after a night on the tiles) and demand her breakfast.
