Poorly cat

I give my cats homeopathy for stress and it works a treat. A couple of drops of Rescue Remedy in his drinking water or dabbed on his paws on dropped onto his food ..... which I also use myself .... will help him. (available everywhere inc Boots)

Gosh what a sensitive boy. We had an Abyssinian who just decided to stop eating. The vet said that she was one of the breeds that would literally starve herself to death. She was stressed by almost everything and really only wanted to cling on to me all the time. Just not feasible. In the end the breeder took her back and rehomed her to an older lady on her own.
After that our other cat was a changed boy. It looked like the Aby had been bullying him even though he's 6 times her size. We love our gentle giant (Maine Coon)

There are such people as pet psychologists, maybe you need to track one down to help? We recently rehomed two Russian Blues but the adoption date was delayed because one of them developed an eye infection caused by the stress of being at a rehoming centre. . Cats can be such sensitive creatives!

Can anyone help - my 15 year old cat has recently started drinking a lot, has got very thin, has stopped grooming but eats well. Still loves cuddles and her toys. Really worried as I love her so much.

Sounds like thyroid problems.If so,your vet can give you tablets.This happened to our cat a couple of years ago. He is fine now. The difficulty is getting him to take his tablets and they are of course expensive.

Poor chap , sounds as if he has been very stressed by the row . I would recommend you give him a very quiet life for a few weeks , if you have to have visitors then put him in a quiet place in his basket until they have gone. Loads of extra strokes and cuddles and as few Vet visits as possible for the time being . I have 4 cats and work for a sanctuary so have some experience , stress can make cats poorly and hopefully the results of the op will come back clear . Could you ring to find out the results rather than take him again and risk stressing him out . Stonewall it could be Kidney failure , is the cat elderly? have you been to the Vet? xx

Would he take lightly scrambled egg or plain boiled chicken? My Mum had a cat who are from the Cat Rescue on this light diet due to a sensitive stomach and we gradually introduced more solid food. Poor boy!
