Anniebach. Thanks. I have had a cat but I prefer dogs and I wouldn't want to keep a cat in a small flat. It's life would be very limited. It isn't something that I dwell on but I must admit to a bit of envy when someone is getting a puppy!

Jaycee, I am so sorry, I understand how you feel, I have had to get along without human companionship but the thought of no dog is awful. Do you like cats? I know several people who have House cats and one friend has a house bunny.

That is lovely. I wish I could have a puppy but I am in a first floor flat with no garden. Although we are allowed dogs I know that I wouldn't want to go out every time it needed to go as I would have been able to do when younger. I do miss having a dog though.

They lighten my life Willow, my husband bought me my first after we lost the babies, I love the way they put their heads on the side and listen when I chat to them, at night I have always told them what is on the list of jobs for the next day, Lottie sleeps all night bless her, I chat to her but she is flat out. I miss that chatting so much . When I bought Lottie I had two Westies, they mothered her , never had a nasty one, just love them so much, and those fat bums when they venture over the door, so sweet ?

My uncle bought my mum a Westie when she was 20 after a very sad time in her life - she called her Sally and always said she was the best little dog she ever had. They later got a budgie and the two were great friends - it used to ride round on Sally's head -wish I had a photo of her

My late Welsh sister-in-law had a Jack Russell called Tegwen - which get shortened to Teggie. I think it's a Welsh name. Would that appeal?

If I had a little westie I would call her Trudi - just saying

We got our German Shepherd just after Christmas (9 years ago) and called her Steffi after St Stephen and Steffi Graf!!

How about Faith? Or Hope? They seem quite fitting.

Don't mean to be unkind or ungrateful but really don't want reminders of this Christmas , hope you understand x

Come on - what better Christmas name than Holly? And it fits so well with the previous names you've had Annie. Incidentally your dogs shared names with two of my granddaughters.
