Sorry to bring this up again but I really need your opinions

Lottie was examined two weeks ago, a needle biopsy thing carried out, cancer. I spoke of it at the time

The vet said an X-ray, an op to remove the one side of The mamory glands. I decided I couldn't subject her to that

Yesterday vet phoned, said she had discussed Lottie with a senior vet - I do not trust the senior vet, she is a partner in the firm and is known locally as pounds, shillings and pence.

Seems now they will remove a smaller section of the glands, I asked about the x ray to check her lungs as first recommended . No point, if cancer is in her lungs the lump could be too small to show up on the x ray.

Son in law and son in law who isn't, both said no way if pounds, shillings and pence is involved.

I want what is right for Lottie, realise only I can decide but feeling swamped , the inquest in four weeks and we have asked for disclosure of statements , if granted this will be more stress .

So let them operate next week or wait untill Lottie shows she is unwell.

Thank you and apologies for bringing it up again

So pleased to hear you’ve decided to let the vet see what he can do, but not put Lottie through too much trauma. Hopefully it’ll all go well and her lungs are clear. Sending flowers for you and roastchicken for Lottie and Phoebe after you’ve eaten the best bits.

I'm glad you've made that decision Annie, it must be a relief in a way. She deserves a chance. Lots of us here will be willing for a good outcome for you and Lottie.

Jalima, puppy crèches are popular here , better than leaving a puppy alone if one has an appointment .

Crafting, I admit I am fearful but have no regrets that I made the decision, Monday will be difficult, dreading the vet will ring with negative results of the x ray.

X

Nfk, there will be no best bits if Phoebe smells the chicken ?

seacliff, yes it is a relief , it would be unfair to Lottie to delay it.

Oh Annie I’ve been thinking about you so much. You’ve made a brave decision and are doing what’s right for Lottie. It’s totally understandable that you’ve found this decision so difficult - you have so much to deal with at the moment. We’ll all be thinking of you on Monday and hoping and praying for the best. flowers

OldMeg Fri 05-Jan-18 22:42:07

You’ve thought this through and made the choice to give Lottie a fighting chance flowers

Annie you'll remember I researched this before and the option you're going with is exactly the one I would have chosen. As long as the x-rays are clear, it's the best option for a virtually complete cure.

I realise Monday will be hard on both you and Lottie, but she's still quite young and you're giving her a great chance. Even if you don't like the vet, the nursing staff are usually huge animal lovers and will try to make sure Lottie is comfortable. flowers and {{{HUGS}}}

A good decision Annie - fingers and paws crossed that they don't find anything else and can operate to remove the tumour so she can make a good recovery.

MawBroon Mon 08-Jan-18 12:24:45

Anniebach my thoughts are with you too.
Don’t worry too much about the puppy, Lottie may like the company when she is home (as she WILL be DV) do you have a puppy crate? Or a gate to keep them apart if you feel Lottie wants some peace and quiet?
Do keep us posted xx?

Anniebach Mon 08-Jan-18 12:40:51

Vet just phoned, Lottie's lungs are clear so they will now remove the lump and she will be home with us later today

Thank you all so much, it was all your support which helped me reach the decision , you saved Lottie with kindness, advice, patience, prayers , positive thoughts and patience with me , you are truly wonderful people

My love and gratitude

Annie x

Veruca Salt: Hey, Daddy, I want an Oompa Loompa. I want you to get me an Oompa Loompa right away.

Mr. Salt: All right, Veruca, all right. I'll get you one before the day is out.
