I know we helped nina (or not!) so I am hoping you can help us as we are stuck for a name for the kitten we are keeping. She was born in June

I will continue to try taking a photo of her but she is a short haired, dark tabby with white bib and wellies.

We have two other cats - an all black male born during the Rugby World Cup - his name is Kiwi.

The kitten's Mum was born in May and is, therefore, called Maisie.

Please help - inspiration has dried up in the Lester household.

We had a beloved cat named Sophia... aka 'Soapy', Mama', 'Noonah' and 'Choux Choux'. She died almost three years ago, at the ripe old age of twenty one!

Margie is our current house guest. She's almost sixteen but still acts like a kitten. She's all black, small in size, whip smart and cute as a button. She belongs to our son who travels a lot. We have become so smitten with her, one of these days, we may decide not to give her back (just joking).

Over the years we've always had cats (both genders). Females were Kitty and Dolly. Males were Mitch Oscar and Frankie (Frankie can be female too).

Have fun naming your kitten.

PS. Our old neighbor had a very sweet cat named Sylvia (her face was half brown and half white).

I chose the kitten so DH gets to choose the name - he didn't really want another cat. He's still calling her Baby. The thing about that is we are having a real live baby soon - due in October.

The winner gets a kitten - with their choice of name!! grin

one of my friedns has a queen called "Edie" - for "Ediepuss" - perhaps if it's male, "Oedi"... grin

gillyknits, how srange that you should say about shouting out the name. We had coffee with friends this morning, and she mentioned, that when she was expecting, a friend had said, 'just imagine calling to him in the park', so they practised calling out various selected names in their, long, garden. smile

Just remember ,whatever you call her, you will be standing in the garden at eleven o’clock at night shouting it in a very loud voice!

Come on kitty .....what’s the verdict? grin
And does the winning GNer get a prize?

My suggestion is Jasmine already chosen by someone up thread. Shortened to Jazz it could encompass your DHs love of the music.
DDs cats are Maisie and Grace

I know two cats called Purdy, which I think is cute. Or Harriet (in honour of Harry Kane)

We had a Smokey, a Tia, and a Tinker. Smokey was a stray brought home from the Flying Club. She stank of cigarette smoke (poor thing) so that's how she got her name.

As all cat-lovers will tell you (and I am not one) cats are very independent, so maybe your kitten could choose its own name.

When my daughters were young they named their kittens and cats after Musicals, they had Mack and Mabel, Halfa (Half a Sixpence) and Barnum (Barney for short)
