Vet just phoned. It's been a Trichoblastoma - a benign tumour! He's OK. Zippity do da! Phew.
I've spoken to Baz about it and he's promised not to do it again! Am so happy.

Fingers crossed for good results for Baz from me too and glad to hear he's finally zonked. My two are 11 and 21 - Baz is a spring chicken Jane10 ?

I hope Baz settles down after his ordeal and results are good on Thursday. Pets are such a major part of the family.

I was interested in the likelihood of the antidote to the anaesthetic keeping poor Baz buzzing yesterday. He's conked out just now. First time he's seemed relaxed since we picked him up yesterday.

Missed this thread. So glad he seems to have turned the corner Jane. Eight is no age for a cat so he should be pretty resilient and in his prime. Fingers crossed that the results are good.

He must have had a good night. He was glad to see me this morning. He's now curled up beside me on the sofa.

If it's anything like human anaesthetic Jane10 he won't be able to sleep - both times I have had procedures I have been awake until 3am the next morning at least - I think they overdo it with the 'antidote' side of anaesthetics now - I was loudly singing whilst coming round from one of them ?

Thanks all. He's still very unsettled, following me about. I wish he'd settle down and sleep. He usually sleeps 18+ hours a day but not today apparently!
