Oh I see the cats name must be Brexit!

Otherwise I don’t see a link.

Or is it just me?

Would a cat really starve itself to the point of death? Just asking ?

We use fetch for our pet food deliveries. They are very good and often have stock when others don't.
Our dogs eat Royal Canin which is French. So far so good.

Our old cat, who sadly died last winter, adored tinned tuna. She would eat mixed pouches but whenever she was feeling under the weather or being a bit precious, it had to be tuna.

GagaJo how come the missing cat food is due to Brexit?
Sorry to be dim ...

Plenty available here. www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/canned_cat_food_pouches/whiskas

Amazon

Lawdy, I’d never have pandered to DD or DH and I’ve lived in Greece and Spain without insisting on British foods, let alone a pet!

This comes under the ‘Must have Findus Crispy pancakes or I’ll wither away’ thread surely.....?‍♀️

GagaJo Tue 12-Jan-21 22:04:41

I will try that next. She has also run out of the specific cat litter he likes (you really couldn't make it up!) from Aldi. They are not going out to shop and Aldi don't deliver there.

I was also wondering if GagJo was back in the UK.

Have you tried a different supermarket or Amazon?

GagaJo Tue 12-Jan-21 22:00:22

No, but I still do the grocery orders, because when I DID turn them over to DD, she messed them all up. Some weeks they had no deliveries and some weeks they had 2.

I don't know where Whiskas comes from, but he is a Chinese cat and got used to Whiskas there. It was the only brand of non dry cat food available there.

He is a real sweetie, but if he was human he would be special needs.

Home not hone!

MawBe Tue 12-Jan-21 21:58:21

Are you hone from Switzerland, then Gagajo ?

Casdon Tue 12-Jan-21 21:58:11

I thought Whiskas was made at Pedigree Petfoods in Melton Mowbray GagaJo, when I first got married I lived in Melton, and it was a very smelly place! May have closed down now though.

I have 2 cats. One, the female, will eat anything. Some non foodstuffs even. The boy, is an awkward little s*d. He will ONLY eat Whiskas fish pouches in jelly. He has made himself ill in the past, by not eating and I have had to force feed him and drip water into his mouth.

Sooooo, onto the Brexit effect. We have a grocery delivery once a week. I arranged it last year just before the first lockdown. BUT the flippin' supermarket is sold out of Whiskas fish pouches in jelly. They are actually sold out of ALL flavours of Whiskas pouches.

Not sure what to do now!

I wouldn't mind, but he was a damn stray. He should think himself lucky to be fed at all.
