In Denmark the sirens are tested annually on the first Wednesday of May at noon. This year both in the old fashioned way and over our phones.
When my phone alarm went, I hurried to the door and found
Tigger running round the corner of the house. He saw me and came in, realised his sister was not inside, and darted out to find or call her.
I had heard, what he had not, namely Trubel coming in through the cat-flap, so I went out, picked Tigger up and brought him in.
So nice to know that my two young cats know where home is, and make for it, if scared. We three sat on the hall floor while the air-raid siren was tested twice and the All-clear once.
The cats, being unsure that the infernal din was over, ran upstairs, where I gave them "chewy sticks" and told them they are good, clever cats.
After all, here the sirens are used if there is a fire causing dangerous smoke to spread and resulting in people being warned to stay indoors and close all windows and doors (including cat-flaps) so I can see the advantage of the pair heading home at the rate of knots when the siren sounds!
