Typical cat!! Glad to hear she's back to normal.

Update. After trying, tinned tuna (though she has never liked this), white fish, chicken all with no success we made an appointment with the vet. Cat immediately started fussing round m, so I thought I would try her original kibble again which she then promptly began to eat! Immediately cancelled the vet. How do they know?

I have tried our cats on fresh fish when they've been under the weather. Because we are all veggies, I have to sweet talk the fishmonger fillet it for me. I cook it and let it cool.

My cats often go off their usual foods, but I find they never refuse a tin of tuna or salmon! Only a short term fix, |I know, but would fill a gap!

* NotSpaghetti*,the only thing she is eating at the moment are Dreamies which are ‘treats’. I have upped the intake of these to compensate for the lack of proper food but it is not a long term solution. I hadn’t thought about a tooth problem so will try soft food, though she has never been keen on soft cat food. Definitely a trip to the vets on Monday. Another thing she has been doing is going outside to nibble on grass which, of course, she promptly sicks up. She is a nervous, rescue cat and usually doesn’t want to go outside so this is out of character too.

I’m sure Mollie will be ok over the weekend, but defo worth a visit to the Vet on Monday.
It maybe a tooth or jaw problem. Our old cat who had tooth issues, had his Eukanuba kibble changed to Royal Canin - a sort of paste - and never looked back.

Is it a problem with her teeth or gums? Have you offered soft food?

Can't she have the food she's happy with?
Just wondering.

Sorry, I should have said the cat’s name is Mollie. Sooty is our previous cat. What it is to grow old.

Our gorgeous Sooty is refusing to eat anything apart from her morning five dreamies. It is over a week now. She normally has a kibble for sensitive tummies. I bought her a different sensitive brand and although she would let me hand feed her a few yesterday she is now turning her nose up. She is drinking well. I would have taken her to the vets by now but she is so lively for example chasing the shadow of her tail in the sunshine. I will take her on Monday but any ideas what I should do in the meantime. Thank you. ( She has lost .3 of a kilo but was a bit tubby before.)
