Some thing to put in the washing machine to get cat hairs off clothes?

Constipation, our vet recommended a little lactulose it worked a treat on our cat.

I found that Vamoosh did not work. We have a Golden and Flat Coat Retriever. Hairy monsters. Tumble dryer filter always full of black and blond hair. The dryer more or less does the job.

Then there is the conundrum of how to get the hairy bits out of the washing machine before the next wash. Any ideas?

The cool refresh setting on my tumble dryer picks off dog hair very effectively.

I've ordered a Fur Magic Pet Hair Remover Lint Brush With Self-Cleaning Base from Amazon today. You can use it on carpet (allegedly!). It has a 'cover' that cleans it.

I pop things into the tumble dryer on cool for a few minutes if there has been a tissue in the washing machine. It works every time. Not tried with cat hairs but it might work.

Having acquired a very hairy little long haired dog and complaining about him, my daughter got and sent out to me a couple of sort of jelly plastic things which were described as hair removers. I think they came from Amazon and they certainly do take a lot, but not all, the hairs away.

I used to use Vamoosh, pet hair desolver from Amazon, I found pet hair used to cling to everything and particularly didn’t like it on my bedding.

At Asda the other day I saw a product in the laundry aisle that is supposed to dissolve pet hair. I can‘t remember the name and not sure if it works. Was thinking of trying it because of my cats leaving their hair everywhere

I've recently heard of something called Vamoosh Pet Hair Dissolver (available on Amazon and in Asda. You put a sachet in with the wash and it literally dissolves pet hair! I haven't tried it myself, but a friend who has a holiday cottage that accepts pets swears by it.

My son’s golden Labrador sheds all over the place no matter how much she’s brushed. I bought sachets of a product that was supposed to “digest” animal hair in the washing machine. It was useless.

I use heavy duty duct tape to drag the hairs from my trousers before putting in the machine. I find that method effective. I also use it on the car seats.

Another useful hair remover is rubbing the garment while wearing a pair of marigolds and that drags the hair out 😊

When we had cats and dogs we always used those sticky roller things on dry clothes.
