he finally trusted me, and we were able to get him to the vet to amputate that rotten, infected torn leg.

What an amazing sweetie he has been, and going strong.

exactly 8 years ago, after months of feeding him outside and sitting there very quiet, never watching him. What a joy he has been.

Your patience has paid off, I hope Minou recovers quickly and well.

Well done Fleur. Is Minou a fox or a cat, sorry if you've posted before.

He wouldn't have survived in the wild.
So rewarding!

He must be exceedingly strong to have survived this long with that bad leg even with your care. So I feel sure he will make a good and speedy recovery.

We are crossing fingers and claws here (forty claws, as Trubel has seven on each front paw, but the usual complement on her hind paws, and Tigger has the usual amount, all the way round).

I thought about Minou a little while back.
I read his story when I first started on gransnet, I think.

I'm glad he's still going strong, the little trooper. smile

How lovely that you remembered him Miss A. Yes a real trooper- I was horrified when the vet said he had to amputate to the shoulder, but that was the right decision.

MissAdventure Thu 10-Oct-24 18:13:09

You posted a pic of his mangled up leg, as I remember, and it was really bad.

It was the right decision; I can't believe he has been living with such injuries for so long.

Does he come in and settle down, now?

Fleurpepper Thu 10-Oct-24 21:37:27

oh yes, he jumps on my lap and gives me the biggest cuddles- and yes (sorry if it shocks wome of you), on my bed. So so affectionate.

MissAdventure Thu 10-Oct-24 23:03:48

smile
He deserves nothing better than the comfort and warmth of a bed.
The cuddles are no more than you deserve for your patience and care for him ❤
