It depends where you are, but I would imagine most good pet sitters are already booked up for October. DD had to leave her dog on a farm recently because we are abroad and couldn't help. He had a whale of a time.
I'd jump at a stay with pets in Switzerland. I'm experienced with pets and fluent into the bargain. Unfortunately, the time between now and Christmas is manic for me with trips away and cathedral concerts.
The setting sounds idyllic and I've always fancied channelling my inner Heidi - though that's over on the German speaking side I believe.
I hope you find someone. There must be some GNs up for it.
