Officially ours from today. His owner phoned and asked if I would agree to adopt him as she knows she will never be able to have him back and has not long to go.
Very sad, she is only 65, has two ACs and a grandson.
He has settled in so well. My neighbour with the female lagotto is very good at grooming and with two os us, sitting on the grass in the garden, and a tube of liver pâté- we now manage to see his lovely eyes, and his mustache and ears have been cropped. On his walk in the woods yesterday he managed to get loads of seeds trapped in fur- and she is coming (with magical tube) to clip the inside of his ears short and mustache and beard cut much shorter. He is pooped as his lady lagotto friend was here all day- and we had a long walk, lots of field running and stream bathing- and she has gone home.
With another friend, we now have a 3 sided exchange club for those doggies. One of them will come here with her dog when we go away in September, and have got sitters organised for 1 week in October.
Always looking for sitters, if anyone fancies a trip to the lovely Jura, both French and Swiss side, with a matching number of days on top before or after, for time to visit region without dogs.
A new leaf turns in our life- and hopefull we will last for the duration
