I changed my cat's food and it has changed her life!

Have had cats over the years at different times, but once was asked to take in a cat that somebody else had had to go into hospital. She had fed the cat Whiskers, and I thought it smelt terrible, but no way would that cat eat any other variety, not even fresh cooked meat. checked with another cat friend and she said yes she thought that whiskers had something addictive in it as she had also had cats that would only eat that.
You dont see it now but my granny used to get "lights" from the butcher and cook them up for the cats, who absolutely loved them and use to prowl around and sit almost under the cooker when she was doing them for both them and the dogs.

I found Billi Treats while researching on internet, would we have this type of brand?

B9exchange

Ours thrive on Nutriment raw cat food. Just defrost and feed. Comes in small frozen packs which last our two cats two days.

Times ago I gave her raw food, but she became very sick. Since then I haven't given her raw food again.

Google KatKin. I don't know the price but it might be what you're looking for.
Untamed is another one. I buy this sometimes from Tesco but I'm sure other supermarkets sell it.
6 small tins for £8.Sometimes on offer for £7. A choice of a box of fish flavours or meat.

Quick google later to check on what brands I'd be buying from if I had a cat. Up came:
- Hilife It's Only Natural
- Applaws
- Scumble
- Gourmet Perle Chef

As ever - I imagine Amazon must have at least some "cat food" and not just "cat junk food" if no nearby supermarkets sell any of it.

There is a company that makes "proper" catfood out there. I keep finding their adverts coming up on Facebook feed - but it does sound as if their meals are proper meat and not a "load of old junk and jelly" (ie the majority of commonly available catfoods). I just note them enough to think "If I had a cat - that's what I'd buy for it". Will keep an eye out for it and come back if one of their ads pops up again.

Was only talking to a friend of mine earlier today - with his comment of his parents cat keeps waking him up at night (deliberately by the sound of it) and I suggested he swop her food to "proper cat food" in case she's pestering him out of hunger. He's gone off to the supermarket on the lookout for cans of sardines to start with to see how she gets on with that and duly been told she might like a bit of chicken too next time he's cooking some up.

Brilliant to know that people have such care for their pets.
It counterbalances the horrible cruelty that we hear about.
"O lovely pussy.... what a beautiful Pussy you are ".......

I doubt you will find any such company.

Have you tried batch cooking broth or chicken and freezing it in daily portions?

I do this for my cats. It saves time on busy day, and they seem quite content with de-frozen food, as long as it is not still cold, but at room temperature when I serve it.
