A beautiful wooden casket with his name on a plaque which for now, I'll keep on my bedside cabinet.

I’m so sorry to hear about your beloved Pippin. It’s so hard to lose a much loved pet. We’ve been through it several times .
Dogs give you unconditional love and often come into our lives when we most need them.
Give yourself time to grieve and remember you gave him a wonderful life .
And I’m so glad you had a kindly compassionate vet. We’ve also been lucky with our previous 2 dogs .

Happened to us not so long ago and we had the vet come out as well so much more relaxing for the dog although I was crying all the way through holding and talking to him I just could not help it…
It was my son’s dog and I tried to persuade him but he could not bear to be with Seamus while it was done but he does say he will never have another dog and he’s only 40. He says he couldn’t face the heartbreak again.

I lost my dog recently and it really is heartbreaking xx

So sorry for your loss. I list both my dogs and a cat within 6 months. The vet who came to our home was wonderful and it made such a difference to me that it was so calm and gentle unlike previous times. I too have estranged AC and my pets have got me through some difficult times. Be kind to yourselves and be happy in the knowledge that he was loved, cared for and appreciated and he will have known that ❤️
