I have just been watching the news and apparently all of us (you)over 60's are having, looking or wanting great orgasmic sex. We (you) want to be seen as sexual beings. Problem is your not being careful and are getting all sorts of horrible sexually transmitted diseases. Are you really? shock

Chance would be a fine thing.

So that's why my glow went. I thought it was just dehydrationwink by the way this was on the 7oclock channel 4 news last evening. It sort of put me off my tea. It gave my husband a thrill though. He thought his dessert might be a bit more interesting. ..it wasn't

Culag Tue 17-Jun-14 07:39:20

I echo what Charleygirl said!

Nelliemoser Tue 17-Jun-14 07:47:27

CBA for me.

kittylester Tue 17-Jun-14 07:49:24

I think gn was offered the chance to partake in that survey.

But any of you who read my post about the dreadful night we had in a lovely country pub in May will perhaps remember that the couple who kept us awake all night long, FIVE times, once an hour until 5am, were probably just over 60? Also the next morning they went off in separate cars! We had no idea that we had been listening to a bonkfest, we thought it was someone trying to break into our room or the hotel. I asked them the following morning at breakfast if they had heard the loud banging. She smirked and looked down, he carried on eating and said calmly, 'Yes, it was our headboard knocking on the wall'! We both looked like death the next morning, they both looked fresh as a daisy.

The previous night, I had thought what a loving couple they were. So discovering that they were probably on a dirty Viagra-fuelled weekend was a bit sad. They weren't all that loving in the morning.

The only "glowing" effect I get is when I put on some BB foundation cream on in the morning to make me look half human.grin

janerowena Tue 17-Jun-14 16:17:55

grin Me too! From deathmask to passable human in 2 minutes.

janerowena Tue 17-Jun-14 16:18:41

In fact I bought some more this morning. The usage has started to creep down to the chest area.

kittylester Tue 17-Jun-14 18:49:16

What's BB Cream - does it mean I can miss out the middle man?

Iam64 Tue 17-Jun-14 19:35:58

Yes, facial products save the day, don't they.

janerowena Tue 17-Jun-14 21:24:57

BB cream is a really good general purpose moisturiser/illuminator/primer/foundation, but quite light. So it doesn't tend to clog and settle into creases. They do vary of course, but generally they are easy to put on and cover the worst of anything.

kittylester Wed 18-Jun-14 07:22:44

Thanks jane. What does BB stand for and where do I buy it?

Can you tell I am desperate for a glow? grin

Agus Wed 18-Jun-14 07:48:04

Bobbie Brown(sp)? Possibly Kitty grin

Pittcity Wed 18-Jun-14 08:16:04

Kitty it's Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm no-one can agree which! Most companies make one so they are all prices. They come in different shades too.

kittylester Wed 18-Jun-14 08:19:10

Thank you Pitt smile

Hi all, this is the link to the Channel 4 report in question.
Lots of interesting points raised if you have a few minutes and want to see what all the fuss is about!

I never see any old men in the street I'd want to go to bed with. Eurgh!

The whole thing sounds sleazy to me. Smacks of desperation.

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 18-Jun-14 13:58:36

I saw Philip Schofield at a fete the other day. He's 52. (!) Would you call that old? I could make an exception for him.

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 18-Jun-14 14:00:01

Although he has got very thin - thanks to that ridiculous 5.2 diet. Lost that gorgeous little bum. hmm

rosesarered Wed 18-Jun-14 14:06:14

Jane Do you think the couple in question [who ruined your night's sleep] just turned over in bed a lot? That may have accounted for the headboard knocking against the wall [or not, as the case may be!]
The trouble with surveys [as someone on here did say] is that people out and out lie, or say what makes them look good.I would take those figures and half them.

rosesarered Wed 18-Jun-14 14:06:33

Quarter them!

rosesarered Wed 18-Jun-14 14:07:16

Dismiss them altogether? wink

rosesarered Wed 18-Jun-14 14:08:10

I could use a glow, but am coughing too much at the moment with this virus type thing.

janerowena Wed 18-Jun-14 14:11:32

No way, rosesarered grin Each time it happened it went on for ages, the first time I thought someone was trying to break the door down to the pub, the second woke DBH and he thought someone was trying to break into our room. Even our bed shook! It was a bit like an earthquake in your sleep. We were just not awake enough each time (too many glasses of red wine, plus a whisky in DBH's case) to work out what or where the sound and vibration was coming from.

I should have mentioned, he looked quite pleased with himself, as did she. No shame at all!

The landlord had been about to check for air in the plumbing, because DBH had complained!
