Morning ladies, bitterly cold but no white stuff here. Have a blessed day.
I'm telling about a book I'm reading Iam64 a novel.
You too Grannygrace xx
65% of gypsies now live in houses, the rest who still live in travellers, only as small percent travel permanently, these are the ones that only meet up at family gatherings & as you say Iam64 and at fairs and the like. But in the novel I'm reading no one has seen her for 7yrs, hence the private detective!
Good Morning Yoga, Iam64, GrannyGrace and everyone else reading in.
Smileless, if you're keeping us with us I hope you are wrapped up warm and that Mr. S is recovering from the ordeals he had the week before last.
We have the "Beast From The East" too, haven't heard the news yet to hear if parts of the country have come to a halt.
I don't ever remember having a "snow day" off school as a child in the 60's and seem to remember scrunching through quite deep snow to walk two miles there.
It sounded a perfect way to end the day after you had been out in the blizzard Yoga, to curl up in a warm bed with a novel to read.
Glad there is this lovely new safe thread for support.
Well done joannab.
10' colder than North Pole today!!! 5' when travelling home last night, never has may temp gage read that low!
I had to dig my car out yesterday, had to stay and do double class, as Pilates teacher couldn't get in, the class did yoga for the first time and enjoyed it, saying it was harder than they thought it would be, they all say that, especially when I get the body builders in, with their bulging biceps
My hairdressing app. cancelled
been waiting weeks for it, as she is so good, always booked up. Can't see my car this morning, just snow, snow, snow
My little Lilly having to go out for a wee in the garden, I do say you're welcome to use mine Took a pic of her yesterday, I'll try to post. It's twice as high this morning though.
Take care everyone & stay warm xx
Very, very cold here, but no snow yet. Got to go get some groceries, just in case.

-5' on my car temp. gage.
My poor little Lilly, big balls of snow on her legs, only heat from my hands would get some of it off.
Hello everyone, hope you’re all warm and well.
Maybe I’m showing my age, but I remember really snowy, icy winters as a child, but the whole country didn’t come to a standstill. Walking to school, in wellies and two pairs of thick socks. Couldn’t wait to get back home to play out. I’m sure we were a lot healthier for it too. Aw well, All Our Yesterdays hey?
”Yogagirl” your little Lilly is adorable. I had to let my beautiful little Yorkie go recently. I held her while she went to sleep. I’m still devastated without her.
Be safe everyone.
Little Lilly is so cute.....
Yoga, Lily looks bewildered by the snow, love her snowy nose.
IrishRose I am so sorry to read that you've just had to let your little Yorkie go, you must miss her so much.
Yes, I remember harsh winters as a child too, if the school's heating gave up we still had to go, just wore our coats all day !
Hello CrazyH, SparklyGrandma & Minty.
CrazyH have you got the snow yet ?
Just a flurry this evening, Joannab......
Thanks re Lilly, she loves the snow, that's why it's stuck to her nose, as she sort of rolls in it

Managed to get to my classes yesterday, my late 1-2-1 cancelled, so just as well, as I would have got there, but my friend was texting, leaving voicemail & we spoke on the phone eventually, with her telling me to stay put & cancel my classes, so sweet & thoughtful of her. Lot's of teachers did cancel their classes & apparently those little Smart cars are like ski's in this snow!
Stay warm everyone xx
Yoga, I've been putting vaseline in my small furry dogs legs to try and stop the snowballs forming. It's not been entirely successful but it does slow it down. He goes into warm water on return to melt the snow balls off. We're usually out for an hour in the morning but 15 minutes has been plenty for all of us with the freezing wind and snow.
Hope everyone is ok and stocked up with essentials.
Thank you Iam64 I'll give it a try. I have got little booties, sheepskin with velcro wrap over straps, but she doesn't like them and they full off, so you spend the whole walk putting them on again. Need some with a big elastic opening to pop her little paws in.
Snow falling hard again!
Just received my Tesco home delivery groceries in the blizzard! She told me all yesterdays deliveries were cancelled, she is only 6 of the 20 delivery drivers in and all the electrical cables are down in the next road to me with road closed off by police! End of news bulletin
Make sure you all keep safe and warm in this bitter weather.
You too Minty xx
