My daughter had a gender reveal party, stating 'no presents'.
I didn't think I would enjoy it, but it was great fun. My D already has a little girl, so a little boy would have been nice for dad. I went to scan with strict instructions not to look for gender, both myself & D were convinced it was a boy.
The party was great, we had photos in a big frame [held up around us] and we had to hold up blue or pink paraphernalia for our choice, already had a badge pinned on as we came in the door.
Finally the cake was cut, we had been told that if it was a boy, it would be blue smarties falling out the middle, as blue in a cake isn't nice. So when they cut it, and it was pink I & my DD were so shocked, as we were convinced it would be blue! It was a great party, we all had such fun.
Baby girl is now 4mnths old and loved and adored by all.
