Gosh Macadia what a dreadful time you have had. It is good to hear from you though and hope things continue to improve for you.

Gosh Macadia how truly awful for you I m sure you’re husband wouldn’t have harmed you if he had been in his right mind I hope you improve and have a lot longer than a year to live your life
I hope you have some help and love around you now you are home and will continue to improve.

You have survived so much, I am sure you will keep proving you are a survivor.

I am fit and healthy, but could get run down by a lorry tomorrow when I go to my Tai Chi class - I have to cross a busy road. So live well and free of fear from attack from a DH, who is not in control of his own actions.

Macadia welcome back. You have had what sounds like a dreadful time. Dementia is a cruel disease. I hope your dh settles into his new home and you have people around who love and care for you. Sending you peace and recovery.

Thank you everyone fornreading my post and sending me confidence but no pity. I am no longer allowed to drive so that will be an adjustment. Thank you for not hating my DH cuz i think my kids must want to kill him. He is praying for forgiveness because he is horrified by this. I told him the Lord sees what is in your heart. Thank you. I must sleep. Again. So tired all the time.

I have to be somewhat careful they say...no laugh, no cough, no sneese etc.. so my brain doesnt explode again.

My mother recently passed from dementia it’s a very cruel illness and they realy don’t know what they are doin . That said it all sounds awful for u and I wish u all the best . Xxxxx

I also believe that the Lord does see what is in our hearts Macadia and will see that your H loves you and was not in control of his actions.

I hope he will find some peace and comfort in prayer and that you will continue to improve .

My feisty, opinionated and in-control mother turned into this mild , soft spoken lady, with Dementia. I was the youngest of nine - she completely forgot my name. I loved her regardless..
Look after yourself. Don’t worry, your husband will be well looked after in a Home.

What an awful thing to happen Macadia. You are a strong lady and I'm glad you now have peace as your husband is being cared for elsewhere.
He was not in his right mind when he attacked you as you know and he must be suffering too knowing he has harmed you.

What a terrible experience, Macadia. Your husband must have been in a state of terror too, when he did that.
And you have undergone two brain surgeries, also awful and hard to recover from.
You were brave to write to us Grans. I hope your courage will sustain you. Keep writing if you feel up to it.

So very sorry Macadia, wishing you the strength you will need in the days ahead. Of course we can’t blame your DH, dementia makes them do and say things that are totally not what they would do ordinarily.
Please put your own well being first and ‘yes’ you are alive, so when you recover make sure you live whatever life you have.

Oh Macadia, sorry but I can't help but send you sympathy. On a brighter note, please do keep on keeping on and do whatever you can do every day. I admire your fortitude and have taken a personal lesson from it. All the best, lady.

You have been through a lot, and survived, so wishing you peace and that you enjoy what time you have left. Stay strong. My OH is in early stage Alzheimers so who knows what the future brings? 'Make the most of each day' has become our motto.
