Obama's health reforms under fire from catholic groups.

Not just that Greatnan a lot of the American population are against the health reforms. To them it smacks of socialisim. The even slightly left of any politics petrifies them and there is still an aspect of 'the red under your bed' thinking. Especially in the Mid-West and the South. They'd rather people suffer then utilise any sort of social medical care. When I first lived in N.Y. there was a labour government in the UK, sadly Margaret Thatcher appeared whilst we were abroad - I came back 7 years later to her. We went to visit some family in Ohio and they of course introduced us to friends. These friends then asked me why we had a communist style government. No matter what I said they considered us 'commies'. So the Catholic Church sticking their oar doesn't surprise me. Poor Obama has a lot to put up with the far right and the racists.

No point in using logic when talking about American politics and religion.
