I don't define healthy debate as being mean to each other, either nonu. No right thinking person hijacks a thread for such a purpose.

I understood the comments made about religiacs referred to the subject of this thread, not another Gransnetter.

It's frustrating to see good discussions railroaded by unfair accusations, and even more frustrating to be patronised when someone justifiably asks for a ceasefire, only to be told they want cosy group hugs. Having robust discussions and remaining friendly aren't mutually exclusive.

I don't want to be rescued or told off for having interesting conversations with people who might have a different view from mine. It's becoming so predictable, it's a bore (my turn to duck now)
