Anniebach I'm not sure how that couple brought up their son ref. religion, I just know about the circumcision. The way was happy for the baby to be circumcised, as his father was, but she really would have preferred it to be done in hospital.

The only thing that I can offer is that I knew a very happily married young couple where the wife was C of E and the husband Jewish, they didn't seem to have any problems. The only slight bone of contention was when they had their son. and the MIL insisted on the circumcision being done at home by the moyl (sp?)

Having watched the link, Bags, I think he must be on the 'chat show guest from hell' list. Always good for viewing figures. My DDs love him and even DH is not as scathing as he used to be. The jury's out as far as I'm concerned but I'm wondering if my dislike of RB had a lot to do with the fact I really can't stand Jonathan Ross.

He's had to cancel the Middle East section of his tour for security reasons. Hah!

merlot, I didn't know about the Andrew Sachs episode. Just had to look it up. I can't really comment on that but I certainly found him entertaining in the link I posted this morning. Comedians are often a bit prattish – I've always assumed it's part of the public act.

I think he's an awful show off but he runs rings around people so is good entertainment value. Not so sure an intelligent and insightful man would have cared so little for Andrew Sach's feelings.
