Some people may have come across this quiz already but for those who haven't it's here: quizfarm.com/quizzes/quiz/ReverendAcid/what-kind-of-atheist-are-you/

Butty Thu 18-Jul-13 17:43:08

when You've done it again. I'm not Bags! grin

Granny23 Thu 18-Jul-13 17:43:34

I'm an APATHETIC atheist which is probably correct because I don't care two hoots grin

Butty Thu 18-Jul-13 17:45:43

Unconscious transference perhaps wink

Butty Thu 18-Jul-13 17:46:06

That was to when

nightowl Thu 18-Jul-13 18:05:01

I came out as an agnostic. But I could have told you that smile

merlotgran Thu 18-Jul-13 18:07:11

Same here, Ana. I think I've broken it.

Ana Thu 18-Jul-13 18:17:00

We're obviously unclassifiable, Merlot! wink

Sorry Butty it wasn't unconscious transference on this occasion. I was sitting in my car with the window down (stationary) and a tiny blue butterfly landed on my phone just where the name was. I wasn't going to shoo it, was I? Teach me to second guess, won't it? grin

petallus Thu 18-Jul-13 18:34:25

What a charming thing to happen. I want a small blue butterfly to land on my phone.

Butty Thu 18-Jul-13 18:37:07

when How lovely. smile

Galen Thu 18-Jul-13 19:03:24

I come out as agnostic96% with scientific at 65% second confused

Faye Thu 18-Jul-13 19:15:43

My score was Meditative Atheist. Where it said I was a pleasure to be around, I already knew that! hmm

j08 Thu 18-Jul-13 19:20:57

Question 4. " I was hurt deeply by religious people and have never forgiven them"

How long can you really going on blaming things on what happened to you in your childhood?

Not this long I think.

Galen Thu 18-Jul-13 20:05:11

You'd be surprised!

Nelliemoser Thu 18-Jul-13 20:47:14

I Scored as Meditative Atheist. It sounds about right to me.

Bags Thu 18-Jul-13 20:53:17

Mr Bags and I did it together because we had to discuss the questions. There were quite a few we didn't understand and had to 'interpret' (we may have got it wrong), and then there were several that were really two questions, not one, but you were only allowed one answer. Those defeated us. But you won't be surprised to hear that we are both scientific atheists in spite of these insurmountable problems.

But then, we're scientific everythings! smile. Him more than me – he's even scientific about drawing and painting!

Bags Thu 18-Jul-13 20:54:13

We laughed a lot doing that quiz. Thanks for the fun!

whenim64 Thu 18-Jul-13 21:21:13

I knew there woud have been a tenner coming - I should have bet on you, Bags

Butty I would have lost my stake on yours - I had you down as proportionally higher on the meditative scale. smile

Butty Fri 19-Jul-13 07:14:31

I had 83% on the scientific and 50% on meditative when. Perhaps it was because I was feeling bolshy about the crazy quiz questions. grin

Bags Fri 19-Jul-13 09:23:13

The percentages are something else DH and I laughed about. When I was telling him his scores, I did about three and he said: " They're not adding up very well, these percentages, are they?" because, of course, they already added up to more than 100% confused.

A lot of the double questions left us confused as well. You totally agreed with one bit and totally disagreed with the other bit of the same 'question' (which was really two questions) – what to answer??!

Bags Fri 19-Jul-13 09:23:29

PS grin

petallus Fri 19-Jul-13 10:37:06

I had assumed those percentages referred to everyone doing the test!!

petallus Fri 19-Jul-13 10:38:49

I think you are supposed to answer the questions without too much thought, a kind of gut reaction.

Gagagran Fri 19-Jul-13 10:52:08

I had to have a tie beaker and still came out as:

71% Agnostic

71% Apathetic Atheist

71% Meditative Atheist

So now am just confused!

whenim64 Fri 19-Jul-13 10:57:50

It just demonstrates that these are for fun only. Some of the questions are ambiguous, and the title implies that you should only answer if you fit the criteria of atheist or christian in the first place. Whoever compiled them doesn't understand how to devise a research questionnaire. At least we all know that the good qualities we have aren't reliant on religion or lack of it. smile
