Are you as moral as you think you are?
grin (Please don't anybody go off on one because they have taken it literally )
This test has only one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Only you will know the results, so remember that your answer needs to be honest.
THE SITUATION:
You are in Florida; Miami, to be specific. There is chaos all around you, caused by a hurricane with severe flooding; in fact,a flood of Biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you are caught in the middle of this epic disaster. You are trying to shoot career-making photos.
The situation is nearly hopeless. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.
THE TEST:
Suddenly you see a man in the water. He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris.
You move closer. Somehow, the man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is: Donald Trump.
At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under forever.
YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:
You can save the life of Donald Trump,
or
You can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the death of the world's most powerful man, hell-bent on the destruction of the USA.
THE QUESTION:
Please give an honest answer.
Would you select high contrast color film,
or
Would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?

handmadedogsweaters Sat 25-Feb-17 19:01:51

Or would the question have been posed if Trump had been black. ????

Ana Sat 25-Feb-17 18:57:56

It's as though Trump isn't actually real - and yes, I did get the joke, thank you!

Ana Sat 25-Feb-17 18:56:55

Think about it, Badenkate. Would anyone actually dare to post such a hypothetical question about Corbyn, for example? We'd be virtually trampled underfoot by his fans...

aquagran Sat 25-Feb-17 18:51:45

I'd still choose black and white.

Badenkate Sat 25-Feb-17 18:47:22

Oh, for goodness sake Ana, if people have got a sense of the ridiculous with the question as it is, then they're going to have it with Corbyn or May. Can't we ever have just a laugh?

Ana Sat 25-Feb-17 18:41:10

I wonder how tolerant and 'jokey' we'd all be if Trump were to be replaced in the scenario by Corbyn or T May?

Some people's attitudes might suddenly change...grin

Rapunzel100 Sat 25-Feb-17 18:33:05

Excellent! Black and white, for dramatic impact, every time!

pollyperkins Sat 25-Feb-17 18:21:47

Very funny. The only nding took me completely bu surprise. I agree with what you just said - i alwys said that to students too.

Obviously some posters just don't know how much top-notch camera gear costs these days either shock

MawBroon Sat 25-Feb-17 17:59:27

I am so reminded of what we used to tell students;

"Answer the question. Not the question you think the examiners are asking, or the question you would like them to ask. Just answer the question".
smile

aquagran Sat 25-Feb-17 17:51:43

When you read some of the replies to your joke ( very funny), and the total lack of understanding, it is not surprising Trump got elected!

Direne3 Sat 25-Feb-17 17:37:48

Black & white to denote how much greyness he brought to so many. Thanks, MawBroon, your dry wit made me smile.

lizzyann Sat 25-Feb-17 17:31:37

Save Donald trump a life is a life

hulahoop Sat 25-Feb-17 16:51:22

Black and White gives good definition

durhamjen Sat 25-Feb-17 16:50:57

Well done, Maggie. You actually made me laugh out loud.

Maggiemaybe Sat 25-Feb-17 16:44:32

MawBroon, I've really wrestled with my conscience since this question appeared. Unlikeable though Trump undoubtedly is, he is after all a human being. Also, I respect the right of the US citizens to choose their President, and he did win the election. I can also see that there were issues re Hilary Clinton and perhaps we as a nation weren't close enough to the nuances of US politics to understand why she was not the chosen one.

So after all my soul-searching, I've come to a difficult decision.

High contrast colour.

meandashy Sat 25-Feb-17 15:58:46

Mawbroon you've definitely opened a can of worms for some people who seem to have misplaced their sense of humour down the back of the couch!
I'm going with black and white I think, edgy and mood setting ?

norose4 Sat 25-Feb-17 15:54:43

Just got it MawBroon, had to read twice(must be getting old!) very funny though ?

Royandsyl Sat 25-Feb-17 15:49:07

That was obviously not the question. I would most certainly rescue Donald Trump. I am sick of the British running him down. We should all get a life!

handmadedogsweaters Sat 25-Feb-17 15:45:42

The question was all about having a "dig" at Donald Trump.
