Are you as moral as you think you are?
grin (Please don't anybody go off on one because they have taken it literally )
This test has only one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Only you will know the results, so remember that your answer needs to be honest.
THE SITUATION:
You are in Florida; Miami, to be specific. There is chaos all around you, caused by a hurricane with severe flooding; in fact,a flood of Biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you are caught in the middle of this epic disaster. You are trying to shoot career-making photos.
The situation is nearly hopeless. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.
THE TEST:
Suddenly you see a man in the water. He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris.
You move closer. Somehow, the man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is: Donald Trump.
At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under forever.
YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:
You can save the life of Donald Trump,
or
You can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the death of the world's most powerful man, hell-bent on the destruction of the USA.
THE QUESTION:
Please give an honest answer.
Would you select high contrast color film,
or
Would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?
grin

QuizQueen. I actually watch the BBC, SkyNews, Russia Today, Algeciraz (?spelling) and some US news channels. Are you really saying that they are all against Trump unfairly?

joannewton46 Sat 25-Feb-17 15:07:49

Love it! Definitely high contrast colour film.
I wonder how many people actually read the question being asked?

HootyMcOwlface Sat 25-Feb-17 15:04:29

Haha! Good one! Love it.

(Shame some people have had a sense of humour bypass. Lighten up a bit, eh?)

Juggernaut Sat 25-Feb-17 15:02:59

Classic black and white of course!
It's such a shame there are so many people with either no reading skills, or no sense of humour!

Tessa101 Sat 25-Feb-17 14:41:30

Brilliant still giggling.... Shame a lot of people missed you point and didn't read it right.

quizqueen Sat 25-Feb-17 14:40:16

I'm a Trump supporter so I'd be proud to have saved him. All the Trump hating comments out there really are getting pathetic now. He's been elected President of the USA. Get over it and get a life and watch something other than the BBC and you might learn something about what's really going on in the world.

handmadedogsweaters Sat 25-Feb-17 14:36:59

What a stupid question.

grandMattie Sat 25-Feb-17 14:28:12

I agree totally with Aslemma.
Thanks for the laugh!

Aslemma Sat 25-Feb-17 13:50:09

Definitely film it in black and white. My career, America and the rest of the world would be all the better for my decision. ?

Blinko Sat 25-Feb-17 13:49:25

Heard this before in various guises, Pol Pot, Hitler, Mugabe et al. Still good, though grin

Skweek1 Sat 25-Feb-17 13:38:27

This has really tickled my family's sense of humour - definitely b&w!

deaneke Sat 25-Feb-17 13:28:53

Oh how this made me laugh after some sad news.. Thank you, just brilliant.

Juney64 Sat 25-Feb-17 13:25:18

That really made me laugh - not at all the 2 options I expected at the end!!

Colour, definitely - just to have a record of what shade of orange his hair was on the day of his demise!

radicalnan Sat 25-Feb-17 13:14:25

Save Trump, surely he would reward me ???

Smileless2012 Sat 25-Feb-17 12:06:49

Black and white; it's more classy and Trump needs all the help he can get.

Riverwalk Sat 25-Feb-17 12:03:45

This is hard .... but I'm going with colour.

Faye Sat 25-Feb-17 12:01:32

Colour. I would want to get a good likeness of him as he swirls by in the raging waters. smile

MawBroon Sat 25-Feb-17 11:30:03

MB, I'll add yours to the list of posts to be avoided. Then I'll be safe and you won't be troubled by my different way of thinking.
Thanks a bunch.
Hardly my fault you misread the post and chose to be sniffy about it

Badenkate Sat 25-Feb-17 11:19:12

Made me laugh Mawbroon, thank you! Definitely black and white - much more classy and would show the hair floating in the water (and the bald spot I should imagine). Even better if I got the people lined up on the side, cheering the water on!

thatbags Sat 25-Feb-17 11:07:35

Haha! Thanks, jal!

MB, I'll add yours to the list of posts to be avoided. Then I'll be safe and you won't be troubled by my different way of thinking. All the best. Mwah!

MawBroon Sat 25-Feb-17 10:54:44

i did warn people not to take it literally and thought the question was quite clearly indicated, being in SHOUTY CAPITALS.
"Moral dilemma" clearly ironic. hmm
So no, not aware of a sense of humour in some replies sad

Jalima Sat 25-Feb-17 10:49:49

I'll take your photo thatbags, as you throw the lifebelt.
Don't fall in as well - although that could make a spectacular photo

hmm photo of the year award? colour or b&w?

f77ms Sat 25-Feb-17 08:46:34

Colour

thatbags Sat 25-Feb-17 08:40:07

Sorry, MB, I thought I understood the first option: Would you "save the life of Donald Trump"? Seems simple enough but apparently not. Seems you didn't understand my attempt at humour either. Hey ho.

Re-reading the OP, it does strike me that the expected and desired answer is the second option. I'm obviously too straightforward by half. Why call something a moral choice when it isn't?

Retreats, baffled.
