Are you as moral as you think you are?
grin (Please don't anybody go off on one because they have taken it literally )
This test has only one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Only you will know the results, so remember that your answer needs to be honest.
THE SITUATION:
You are in Florida; Miami, to be specific. There is chaos all around you, caused by a hurricane with severe flooding; in fact,a flood of Biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you are caught in the middle of this epic disaster. You are trying to shoot career-making photos.
The situation is nearly hopeless. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.
THE TEST:
Suddenly you see a man in the water. He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris.
You move closer. Somehow, the man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is: Donald Trump.
At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under forever.
YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:
You can save the life of Donald Trump,
or
You can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the death of the world's most powerful man, hell-bent on the destruction of the USA.
THE QUESTION:
Please give an honest answer.
Would you select high contrast color film,
or
Would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?

When you read some of the replies to your joke ( very funny), and the total lack of understanding, it is not surprising Trump got elected!

I am so reminded of what we used to tell students;

"Answer the question. Not the question you think the examiners are asking, or the question you would like them to ask. Just answer the question".

Obviously some posters just don't know how much top-notch camera gear costs these days either shock

Very funny. The only nding took me completely bu surprise. I agree with what you just said - i alwys said that to students too.

Rapunzel100 Sat 25-Feb-17 18:33:05

Excellent! Black and white, for dramatic impact, every time!

I wonder how tolerant and 'jokey' we'd all be if Trump were to be replaced in the scenario by Corbyn or T May?

Some people's attitudes might suddenly change...grin

Badenkate Sat 25-Feb-17 18:47:22

Oh, for goodness sake Ana, if people have got a sense of the ridiculous with the question as it is, then they're going to have it with Corbyn or May. Can't we ever have just a laugh?

aquagran Sat 25-Feb-17 18:51:45

I'd still choose black and white.

Ana Sat 25-Feb-17 18:56:55

Think about it, Badenkate. Would anyone actually dare to post such a hypothetical question about Corbyn, for example? We'd be virtually trampled underfoot by his fans...

Ana Sat 25-Feb-17 18:57:56

It's as though Trump isn't actually real - and yes, I did get the joke, thank you!

handmadedogsweaters Sat 25-Feb-17 19:01:51

Or would the question have been posed if Trump had been black. ????

aquagran Sat 25-Feb-17 19:06:47

Beam me up Scottie!

icanhandthemback Sat 25-Feb-17 19:06:57

I'd shoot it in colour then Photoshop it into Black and White to see what it looked like. Is that enough sitting on the fence for you? grin

aquagran Sat 25-Feb-17 19:10:07

Eh?

handmadedogsweaters Sat 25-Feb-17 19:12:30

AQUAGRAN Where do you want Scottie to beam you up to.??

aquagran Sat 25-Feb-17 19:21:51

Trump Tower!

Badenkate Sat 25-Feb-17 19:27:55

Wouldn't bother me Ana or black, Muslim, Scottish or any other group you may think of hmds - but then I have a fairly well developed sense of what is fantasy and what is reality.

Sorry mawbroom I really enjoyed your post but as always....... What can you do confused?

handmadedogsweaters Sat 25-Feb-17 19:28:06

Why Trump Tower.?

redf8235 Sat 25-Feb-17 19:28:49

Nice one

Ana Sat 25-Feb-17 19:33:03

FGS Badenkate it was a perfectly reasonable question, I wasn't passing any moral judgement!

aquagran Sat 25-Feb-17 19:34:27

MawBroon what can you do? ... nothing! Just keep posting things to make many of us laugh!

Ana Sat 25-Feb-17 19:36:16

I do think some of you seem to be rather po-faced when faced with an alternative to the original question. Hey ho...hmm

mcem Sat 25-Feb-17 19:50:40

I liked the op. My 'classic' comment wasn't just to the colour/ black n white question! It reminded me (and probably many other retired teachers) of the sheet of instructions/questions I used at the start of the year. The instruction was to read all the way through to the end before starting. 10 simple questions or instructions followed, the last one being 'answer only q7 and q10.'
About 8 out of 10 pupils didn't read to the end and answered every one before they realised their mistake!

downtoearth Sat 25-Feb-17 19:51:11

Save Trump

downtoearth Sat 25-Feb-17 19:54:53

And use black and white grin
