Who is Netanyahu's God?

Netanyahu is a religious conservative (BBC). He is also an Israeli nationalist who has made Israel an Apartheid nation.

Judaism varies among religious Jews. As does Islam and Christianity.

I would say Netanyahu's God is Jahweh, the god of the Israelites as revealed to Moses. The belief of 'an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth' (Exodus), the principle of reciprocal justice.

There is still no talk of a cease fire is there? There can’t be much of Gaza left to bomb sad.

Netanyahu does believe in violence and murder, his "entity" is Lucifer. He obviously doesn't believe in the christmas spirit.
Israel is not democratic AT ALL. It's borders are fluid and change every time it invades other territories. The holcoaust and genocide being carried out with children and women being targeted is appalling and as reported in www.middleeasteye.net/news/anti-zionist-jewish-group-says-israel-perpetrating-holocaust-gaza
The only reason Israel gets away with genocide crimes is the USA unconstitutional use of the VETO. No meeting in the world gives an undemocratic single "equal authority" vote to overturn what is fact. If Israel is so law abiding why is NY charged by its own courts. People who support the Z state need to read up on Hitler. I will be praying for Gazans.

That is also how I see it Katie. Israel will not stop until Hamas are disabled and unable to attack in that depraved manner again.

Does not get control

If the majority of Israelis reject Netanyahu, how was he elected?

I simply do not believe the majority of Israelis want Hamas to be free to fire whatever rockets at Israel or make raids across the border when it chooses. If Israel does get control of Gaza Hamas will get stronger, does Israel really want that?.

Netanyahu doesn’t matter, when the hostilities are over there will be an election, either he will be hailed as a hero or more likely voted out, until then there is a war to be won.

I note that the Israeli Supreme Court has thrown out Netanyahu’s planned judicial reform because it would be severely anti-democratic.

Are there any democracies in the Middle East?.

Is your question relevant?

I suppose the nearest to a free democracy is Turkey where there is a large army to stop the minorities fighting each other. All other countries have military rule or conflict, expecting Israel to be fully democratic in a war is unrealistic

This has nothing to do with the war!

This has everything to do with Netanyahu’s authoritarian, far right agenda, made clear way before Oct. 7th, which the majority of Israelis reject.

Also questioning the veracity of Tweets perhaps?

They could just be yet another opinion.

Links are trustworthy? if a poster can be doubted ?

If a poster can be doubted?

How insulting a personal attack is this? Totally un-acceptable.

Sorry, but I think Anniebach is referring to your post addressed to Philippa60 where you doubted her what she says even though she lives in Israel .

If you think it is insulting and unacceptable then perhaps it might be kind to apologise to Philippa?

If a poster can be doubted??? Can't get more personal and unpleasant as this.

I know Netanyahu is disliked by many Jewish people the world over, but he was elected, the same as Hamas were elected.

And just like Trump, pretending to be religious to highjack the 'evangelist / extreme Orthodox Right.

Fleurpepper Tue 02-Jan-24 17:56:29

He is Israel's Trump

A corruption trial against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu resumed on Monday after a two-month pause due to the continuing Gaza war. He did not attend the hearing.

Netanyahu has been charged with fraud, bribery and breach of trust in three cases filed in 2019. He can be sentenced to up to 10 years in jail and/or a fine if convicted in a bribery case.

Fleurpepper Tue 02-Jan-24 17:35:27

He is unpopular for so many reasons, and this war has made it so much more so. And most Israelis realise that his actions and those of the IDF is endangering their lives much more than any 'wishy washy' Government- and will do so for a VERY very long time.

Oreo Tue 02-Jan-24 09:51:28

That’s politics isn’t it? Some of the people want him and some don’t.Just like here or any other democracy. You have to remember tho that Israelis live surrounded by enemies and don’t want a wishy washy government. He is unpopular there generally it seems for other reasons than this war.

How can there ever be peace with Netanyahu, cannot understand him being elected that’s obviously the sort if leader Israel wants. There will never be peace there. Israel wanted control not peace but don’t say it’s in the name of God it’s the opposite. The ordinary Palestinian can’t fight Hamas or Israel.
