Trump has already responded:

Speaking to press afterwards, Trump said he "didn't think it was a good service".
"They could do much better", he added before walking away.

Trump cannot remove her from her post but this could cause some difficulties between the POTUS and the Episcopalian Church which is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
Brave woman!

Mollygo

It was a good speech, and pinpointed the situation, but I wonder if she’ll still be in position next month.

Oh I do hope so Mollygo, these are the spokespeople needed in Churches etc today. What courage she showed and such compassion.

I watched and listened to Bishop Budde’s address. Her words almost moved me to tears. With grace she spoke on behalf of those that cannot. Bishop Budde was described as ‘smug’ in one headline. I have never seen anyone less smug in my life!

Trump sat po faced and later critised the service, saying something like ‘they could have done better’.

I watch and wait to see how this administration evolves. Is the US ‘the land of the free’ nowadays? Time will tell.

Thank you for posting this Claremont. It was wonderful to hear. Trump and Vance looked very uncomfortable.

I was unable to view it on Facebook but found it here on YouTube after reading your post.

Now here is a truly brave woman, who has put her career on the line here, as a true Christian who really understands what Christianity is about.

Trump, Malania, Vance and families, were just trapped there, and could not walk out or stop her. Stunning and so full of humanity.
