I visited Auschwitz, the guide was excellent. She told us photos of prisoners in the camp at liberation were actually taken weeks later when prisoners had been released from hospitals. So the state of the prisoners was worse than we know. I guess faked photos have been around for a while.

The photos she showed us were well known of women in their bunks. I think they had more to do at the liberation than take photos.

The Allied Liberation Forces included Army photographers.

The Forces have their own photographers; they are not press photographers.

In fact, you often get press photographers who are 'embedded' with the forces, same with journalists.

The photos I'm talking about were taken after the camp was liberated.

But that doesn't mean they were all taken on the first day. How many photographers? It was a big camp presumably photographers weren't in every part of the camp immediately, maybe women asked for some respect for their friends who were close to death, maybe the women had been moved before the photographer got there. The photos illustrated the conditions the women were living in, bunks four deep with 3 or 4 women to a bunk. If it was missed on the day I can't see what was wrong reconstructing it.

How exactly can you answer for the UK doctors who have been in Gaza though? Are you among their number?

I CAN answer for Red Crescent medics. My father was a war medic and he praised Red Crescent to the skies. Red Crescent and Red Cross are completely affiliated.

What's more. Christian Palestinians and Muslim Palestinians are together in enduring the onslaught of the Israeli Defence Force .

I knew someone - now deceased - who fought in WW2 and liberated one of the death camps. He was appalled by what he saw and smelled there and had flashbacks later in life.

I also had a Jewish friend, now deceased, who was put on the last train from Czechoslovakia before the Nazis invaded. She was seven years old. All her
family were murdered by the Nazis except her mother who survived by working as a seanstress.

It's not surprising that many German and other European Jews emigrated to Israel despite the efforts of the British to prevent them after WW2.

If the Jews had been better treated then we might not be where we are now.

I was referring to people who seem to claim any evidence of what Israel is going is false.

The fact check I linked to shows it was Israel govt that claimed the photos were staged.

We just have different opinions.

Not sure how "it" happened.

Personally, I coudn't look look at photo's of concentration camp victims. It sends me into a depression just to think what people are capable of and how some people seem born to suffer. Do hope there is something else after this life because evil seems to thrive for some on earth.

Yes, six children came to Plymouth from Gaza to have prosthetic limbs fitted. It is a private initiative, not NHS.

The prosthetics are 3D printed versions, much cheaper than normal ones and I do hope they will work. The man producing them was a surgeon.

My mother-in-law was in a concentration camp in Germany during WWII. She managed to escape, carrying her infant daughter who had been born in the camp. She pretended to be one of the workers who came and went everyday.
