crosstitchfan I'm just tired of the assumption that because I am old I can't think for myself. The bright as a button comment is child like and jarred with me.

I'm also amazed that Santander allowed this to happen, I bank with someone else, but was not able to do a transfer to pay for an expensive print as they thought it was a scam. In the end I sent a cheque which went through without any trouble at all.

Desperately sorry as I am for anyone who falls victim to the despicable scammers this is probably the strangest hoax story I have ever read as there were so many red flags, plus the fact that it continued over a few days.

I realise that the video clip doesn’t tell the whole story but from what I gather the lady was phoned by a crook pretending to be the police, saying that money had been taken from her account.
What puzzled me was how was she was talked into buying some expensive watches which she then handed over to a teenager who turned up at her house on a moped 😮

Like I said so many red flags.
