This one will set up a restrictive list of approved seeds and varieties, and will make it illegal to sell, exchange or give away any seeds that are not on the list. Among other things it will outlaw Heritage seeds in the EU. It is interesting that someone at the heart of this proposal has a connection with an association for major seed companies.

On that page, we are recommended to email EU commissioners to comment on the proposal (their email adresses are given). I emailed 22 EU commissioners on 26 April and so far have had not a single reply or acknowledgment.
One of them ([email protected]) was returned as undeliverable. I think he must have taken his email off the hook.
