I know, we are never satisfied, but a Nature topic without photographs is NBG.

Oh yes. (to Galen)

That is very keen of them Maniac - I think it has spread across the nation though - its popping seed pods are very effective, particularly if they pop next to a stream or a river. It's along waterways that it is the worst problem I think.

Lovely pics, but why does the text keep repeating itself I wonder?

Poppikok Tue 10-Sept-13 12:25:52

Let's see if it happens here.

Poppikok Tue 10-Sept-13 12:27:12

.....and of course it didn't!!

Lilygran Wed 11-Sept-13 07:40:33

What lovely pictures! And what lucky GNs to have that wildlife in their gardens.

soop Wed 11-Sept-13 11:59:15

Poppikok smile

soop Wed 11-Sept-13 12:00:39

I meant to add...and here is yet another Kintyre sunset.

Poppicok I like your photograph.

dustyangel Wed 11-Sept-13 12:11:25

soop and Poppicok they are both lovely photos. Are they from your gardens/windows?

soop Wed 11-Sept-13 16:11:20

Yes, dustyangel and here is the latest for you...

soop Wed 11-Sept-13 16:12:13

The ferry on it's way to the islands of the Inner Hebrides.

Gally Wed 11-Sept-13 16:58:53

Lovely pics soop. Wish I was on a ferry to somewhere - Valhalla perhaps confused

soop Thu 12-Sept-13 11:08:40

Gally, dear, where is Valhalla? The name rings a distant bell.

Galen Thu 12-Sept-13 11:22:40

Valhalla is the Viking after world, Valkyries, fringing, wenching, etc:

Nelliemoser Thu 12-Sept-13 11:43:16

This lovely ?fish skeleton from Iceland. I was fascinated by the bone structure.

soop Thu 12-Sept-13 11:51:32

Galen I'll see you there...grin

Nellie The skeleton in your photograph is very sculptural.

Nelliemoser Thu 12-Sept-13 11:53:45

The image quality of that picture seems to have been lost in posting.
I suspect the pixel definition is reduced to save space.

These are "Mammatocumulus" or Mammillary clouds. Taken over Sheffield in Dec 12

Galen Thu 12-Sept-13 12:11:46

Fringing?fighting and drinking

JessM Thu 12-Sept-13 13:18:11

Clouds definitely worth sending off to the clouspotters fan club nellie.
Wished I'd had a camera earlier. Student, or possibly an orc spotted, returning from the summer migratory season. Trudging up the hill from the station with his bags. And his battle axe.grin

glassortwo Tue 17-Sept-13 19:12:17

I now have my new laptop, so lets see if I can master a photo. This was taken in the garden while we were up at the house in August.

Poppikok Thu 19-Sept-13 19:33:52

No luck there glassortwo so I'll try one from my Desktop...

Poppikok Thu 19-Sept-13 19:35:44

Must be a tech problem..hmm

soop Sun 29-Sept-13 16:40:40
