Does anyone remember the Dennis Potter play from years back given the news of the latest proposed transplant [which is so horrific I can't even write it down on here]. I keep thinking about it and how implausible it was at the time [and still is if, in fact it is just some sort of publicity stunt]. #sendsshiversdownmyspine

On the same subject, does anyone remember seeing that horrible film footage of the result of the monkey head transplant?

There were two dogs in a Russian experiment; again it was a long time ago that still makes my flesh crawl thinking about it. I'm sort of trying not to think about it all but at the same time can't get it out of my head [no pun intended]. There's also that classic horror story of the man that has the elixir of life but when his servant puts it on his head after his death he is so shocked by what happens that he drops the liquid and can't bring back to life the rest of his body.

A South African man who had a successful penis transplant has made history by being set to become a father:

Sadly South Africa is leading in that particular field - needs must - due to the high number of complications from traditional circumcisions.

I would wonder how, if it is a muscle wasting disease, it has not affected all of his central nervous system including his head and neck.
