Has anyone else seen the red sun? It's very odd to see it high in the sky. Apparently sand from the Sahara in the atmosphere and the effects of fires in Spain and Portugal.

Very strange yellow light here in SW Wales this morning. By lunch time no sun, cloudy and severe gales.

Very strange in Norh Yorkshire. These taken about 2.30 today. Sunny and blue sky by 3. Now very blowy!

It just got darker and darker here with a fabulous sunset. An orange glowing horizon with a dark brown sky above.

We were out walking all morning and usually during the afternoon the dog spends his time in the garden twiddling around. But it got so dark he came into the house and got into bed and has been there ever since!!

Saw dull red sun in dull grey eerie sky at about 2,30 pm here in the midlands. By 3.30 sky was blue and sun was bright and all was normal. Later got rather strong winds.

I don't know the source, grumppa but DH remarked that the sun looked like a dying star today! It was very dark and gloomy this morning

It was reported on the local news that this was due to sand from the Sahara and the fires in Portugal. I don't remember seeing anything like it before, very eerie indeed.

A Shakespeare parody "The Two Gentlemen of Soho" by A P. Herbert. Actually, a very funny little play.

South Downs still being affected by the air pollution

Sun was very red again and I could see the smoke/cloud beginning to cross the clear sky, now it is back to a heavy dull cloud again.
