That's gorgeous

Your picture is gorgeous WWM2.

My friend visited last week and showed me a photo of a hanging basket in her beautiful garden.
It had been occupied by a family of wrens. The basket was ruined, but the baby wrens were very happy.

How lovely, wherever they are I hope they all survive. We do have reds in Northumberland, but sadly I've not seen one here in Warkworth for about ten years, I have only seen greys. Woodhorn colliery near Ashington used to have a feeder near the car park attendant's box, and stopped when the greys came.

But we do?

Those stick insects have come from NZ and like it here!

Oh that is interesting. Can’t say I’ve ever seen any in the wild though. If they are anything like the ones the GC used to keep they breed like mad!

Haven’t checked dr google but think Scotland is the only place in the UK with red squirrels. We saw some in Switzerland years ago, apart from that it’s grey all the way. What a sweet photo.

I’ve seen them in a forest close to where a sister lives in the Yorkshire Dales, and she used to have one visiting her garden.

Only grey ones here alas (outer SW London) - little buggers endlessly trying to get into the bird feeders.

Gorgeous pic, WW!

did anyone see the woman on gogglebox last night who is killing grey squirrels and looks like she is going to make a huge squirrel costume to wear to do it?

We see a lot of black squirrel just lately
