If you could choose to be a flower, which would it be? Or maybe you don't like flowers and would choose none smile.

I would choose to be a bluebell because they are gentle, dainty and peaceful looking. My father used to take us rambling when my brother, sister and I were children. We would go into the most beautiful woodlands, which were lush and green, and filled with bluebells growing peacefully in the dappled sunlight.

If I were a bluebell, I would choose to grow in a woodland with my fellow bluebells and listen to the tinkling of a nearby stream. Birds and wildlife would visit, and perhaps a human or two; little children delighting in the sight of us. And when night fell, a badger or fox would visit ... and perhaps even a fairy or two ... grin Oops! getting carried away now, lol!

Calendargirl

I would choose to be a lily-of-the-valley, my favourite flower.

Just that really.

I love lily-of-the-valley too, Calendargirl. It was my nan's favourite flower and she bought it in the form of perfumes and soaps. I have recently bought lily-of-the-valley jewellery bc it reminds me of her.

An English rose, cos I am one! White and delicately scented.

A blue Iris, symbol of Florence and painted beautifully by Van Gogh.
The flowers I have chosen for my coffin.

A pink foxglove.

Amorphophallus Titanum.
No one would forget me in a hurry! Haha

But, seriously, I love wild growing flowers like Bluebells, Snow Drops, Sweat Pea. So any of those, especially if they were blessed with a long life and no animals peeing on me!

I think a water lily, especially a mauve one with a yellow centre.

Freesia, so pretty and beautifully scented, though I’d like the staying power of Alstromeria.

Auntieflo Wed 01-Nov-23 08:48:10

Alstromeria , or Fritillary.

Tulip

Snowdrop - emerges just when things seem at their gloomiest and comes back year after year.

Calendargirl the lily of the valley was my first thought too...

However there's something fabulous about the Agave... years to develop, once blooming and then dead...
Also, quite strange and "funky" looking. Make me smile. Sort-of Dr Seuss...
And then a potent drink can be made of my remains! grin

Something wild. Grass of Parnassus perhaps or Red Bartsia.

Summerfly Wed 01-Nov-23 10:50:28

I love forget-me-nots. Such a beautiful little bloom. So that would be my choice.

dragonfly46 Wed 01-Nov-23 17:55:46

A harebell, delicate, wild and free and my favourite colour in flowers.

I can never understand these questions. What kind of dog would you be? What kind of animal would you be? I just don't get the concept.

It's just a bit of fun, but it gets the imagination going smile

Now that would be interesting. Rottweiler or retriever? Big difference!
