As its less than 3 weeks until the 1st Anniversary of Gransnet 5th May ( I hope thats the correct date, if my memory has not failed me altogether) smile
How are we going to celebrate?

Do we need to start making bunting or baking, any suggestions?????

jeni Mon 23-Apr-12 19:55:20

bags I would prefer blue, but I got this one about 1/2price, so no choice as to colour. It does 12miles per charge and is letha
Ly fast grin

Bags Mon 23-Apr-12 19:56:09

Great for dodgems then!

nightowl Mon 23-Apr-12 19:57:03

nellie yes we owls do have tails but we have learned to keep them highly secret hence they are always between our legs. Why else do you think we do that 'blink/ wide eyes' thing. But you must keep that to yourself or I will have to kill you. Maybe with a chocolate Victoria sponge....... And don't be silly, when did you ever see an owl in jeans, our legs are far too short

Bags Mon 23-Apr-12 19:59:22

grin

nightowl Mon 23-Apr-12 20:03:23

I can't keep up with this thread you are all being nice to me now! But it's too late you made me burn my dinner and then I couldn't eat it for laughing. Oh ok then I will do the chocolate baileys Victoria sponge and you can all have some (but Bags can have the most cos she was nice to me first) but only if you will at least give me a chance as the one man band. I had to promise the nice policeman to stop practising for now but I will fly off into a deep dark wood and practise there. It's a bit difficult with all these b****y instruments tied on to me though

nelliedeane Mon 23-Apr-12 20:06:14

oh silly me nightowl you are a wise old owl I always thought O.S stood for Owl Size,I sympathise with difficulty of knowing where to conceal your tail lets be thankful you are not a squirrel other wise you might have a few ticklish moments.grin

nightowl Mon 23-Apr-12 20:12:35

But you haven't seen my tail nellie it makes a squirrel's look positively rat like. Back to the 'blink/ wide eyes' thing.....And as for OS Owl Size - all I can say is we owls embrace our curves wink

nelliedeane Mon 23-Apr-12 20:18:00

wow with a tail that big and bushy you dont need the broom to be able to sweep the floor as you go..do you sometimes sweep it up on your head to keep your ears and head warm it must get very cold sitting in the tree all night..any chance of a picture wink

nightowl Mon 23-Apr-12 20:36:40

I told you it's all highly secret wink.
It's a pretty good life being an owl smile

jeni Mon 23-Apr-12 20:40:05

Happy birthday for Saturday, gransnet! Do hope you don't behave like all the 1 year-olds (and 21 year-olds) in my family and throw your toys out of your pram at every opportunity - and get too big for your boots!

glassortwo Tue 01-May-12 16:01:43

GrandmaAnge grin we have our moments grin but on the whole we are level headed and very sensible wink as you can see from this thread!

MaggieP Tue 01-May-12 16:11:36

Has anyone started baking a cake yet, or chilled the bubbly?

glassortwo Tue 01-May-12 16:15:19

Bubbly and white wine is chilling and the red wine is breathing grin and have started looking for the ingredients for the parmasan crisps. wink bunting ready to go up, whats everyone else up to?

Nonu Tue 01-May-12 16:17:09

Carigransnet , DH alltime favourite albert and the lion , in fact he googled the words printed them off , and can sing them all instead of getting stuck halfway through so I could put him forward for the "knees up" if you want [wine and flowers]

glassortwo Tue 01-May-12 16:26:31

We could have the Cari and Mr N double act grin

Nonu Tue 01-May-12 16:46:08

Glassortwo , well we do like a laugh don"t we , they would probably make a good duo, thing is , would they be too shy ? lol

Nonu Tue 01-May-12 16:48:58

Stop it nonu , your"e being cheeky now, it not funny !!!

soop Tue 01-May-12 16:57:55

Annobel Tue 01-May-12 17:07:31
