Can you sort that Mumsnet lot out please.

They've deleted a thread we were working out perfectly well ourselves.

I know I was out making merry until the wee small hours, but now I am totally confused. It's as if I'm living in a parallel universe confused

Truly 'tis the day of the typo - OFF cycle power.

Time, as Zebedee would say, for bed...

Carigransnet (GNHQ) Sun 20-Jan-13 00:19:16

One ipad that runs of cycle power (shared bike too) - it can get very wearing

j07 Sat 19-Jan-13 22:03:05

Have you all only got one i-pad between you? confused

Is it because of the lack of adverts? shock

#couldclubtogether?

Carigransnet (GNHQ) Sat 19-Jan-13 18:19:13

My DD too - otherwise they lose at least one a day

nanaej Sat 19-Jan-13 17:52:33

Of course you can string gloves! All my DGC have them dangling in the snow from each sleeve!

janeainsworth Sat 19-Jan-13 17:46:09

nellie string on gloves isn't allowed any more is it ? health 'n' safety confused

Carigransnet (GNHQ) Sat 19-Jan-13 17:25:21

Of course!

Nelliemoser Sat 19-Jan-13 17:20:36

Carigransnet Is the string on your gloves still right through the sleeves of your coat. You need them this cold weather. wink

Carigransnet (GNHQ) Sat 19-Jan-13 17:14:56

Hello River. No I'm not Katy! i have now discovered it was something to do with tech doing an upgrade while I had a particular page open in the admin section trying to do something for katy, and also the admin panel open on my ipad. Tech have assured us this couldn't happen under normal circumstances. And I have also PM'd Katy to apologise for any confusion, to assure her her details aren't visible and her security isn't compromised in any way. It was a one off glitch - tech assure us was all to do with what they were doing so couldn't happen again.

Riverwalk Sat 19-Jan-13 16:38:25

You're still you Cari but are you also Katy?

Carigransnet (GNHQ) Sat 19-Jan-13 16:38:02

Isn't it always??? confused

Ana Sat 19-Jan-13 16:30:59

So now it's insane time? wink

Carigransnet (GNHQ) Sat 19-Jan-13 16:30:27

Apart from my typing that is. Same not sane...clearly in every sense

Carigransnet (GNHQ) Sat 19-Jan-13 16:29:25

Lol! I just checked the nametapes sewed into my gloves and I am definitely still me. Clearly my iPad and I combusted at the sane time. Anyway everything seems ok now.

Riverwalk Sat 19-Jan-13 16:18:53

Are Katykat and Cari one and the same person? confused

Could be Grant Shapps grin

JessM Sat 19-Jan-13 16:11:34

Good luck Cari cabin fever as someone just said and there seemed to be about half a dozen grouchy gransnet threads running at once.shock

Carigransnet (GNHQ) Sat 19-Jan-13 16:07:26

Meanwhile apologies for the typos...Clearly wang = want etc etc

Carigransnet (GNHQ) Sat 19-Jan-13 15:59:40

Hey ana - in the grip of a techniCal glitch which will teach me not to press buttons I don't understand on iPad when admin panel tool comes up. It's me and I'm not entirely sure what I did but I think - hope - all ok now.

Ana Sat 19-Jan-13 15:57:04

confused

Katykat's post was exactly the same as Cari's....

Carigransnet (GNHQ) Sat 19-Jan-13 15:52:31

When we receive reports of posts that may/may not confirm to our guidelines we always look at them carefully both from the POV if the poster and the person who has reported (well unless it's blatant spam if course )

We avoid deleting posts (and indeed threads) where we can and acknowledge the fact that different people can read different things very...well differently. That, of course, is where intonation and facial expression comes in so very handy.

Now I need to get up to speed on this particular thread as I haven't been around for a couple of days - but I did wang to post today so that no one thought we had done a runner

(As if)

katykat Sat 19-Jan-13 15:22:37

Message deleted by Gransnetfor breaking our Talk Guidelines. Replies may also be deleted.

Movedalot Sat 19-Jan-13 14:11:45

What happens when a thread is deleted for the stated reason? Do the people who have been attacked and done the attacking get a message to tell them the thread has been deleted and why?

I agree with what others have said above.

POGS Sat 19-Jan-13 13:57:42

janeainsworth

You put it a little better than I did, that's what I meant too.

j07 Sat 19-Jan-13 10:08:46

Mumsnet has nothing to do with it. We seem to share Geraldine with the Other Place. (probably because we don't make enough mnoney)

Why don't they advertise with us? confused What happened to the "grey pound"?
