During which they are only allowed to post on threads, not start them.

The threads on which they would be allowed to post would be restricted to observations about the weather, product recommendations (positive comments only) knitting and other crafts and how nice puppies and kittens are.

I've just checked and I've been a member for 2 years [doesn't time fly when you're having fun grin] Do I pass? confused

Thistledoo Mon 29-Jul-13 19:30:05

I think every new member will be frightened to post anything now. Bit [hot for twin set and pearls, perhaps swimwear might be more appropriate. grin

Oh no! Not another London Pensioner! Charleygirl, you and Frank should get on well, unless you advocate ladies-only bums and tums classes!

Galen Mon 29-Jul-13 13:09:58

Sorry should be just under I joined in Dec 11

Charleygirl Mon 29-Jul-13 13:08:52

No twinset or pearls, only like red and white wine, with or without a straw. Can spell very well.
One of the fortunate ones with a London Pension.

Ana Mon 29-Jul-13 13:04:39

Just over two years is from the very start, Galen! grin

So I think you're safe...

Galen Mon 29-Jul-13 13:01:09

No twinset. But loads of pearls, hate gin, like vodka. Keep away from cake (diet) spelling ok, until iPad takes over.
Been on here for just over 2 years. Am I still probationary?

shysal Mon 29-Jul-13 12:57:43

Welcome to all the newbies who have joined this thread! flowers You will need your senses of humour to survive on here, and, of course, serious comments are also appreciated.
I have been here from the start, hate to think how many hours I have wasted enjoyed.

kittylester Mon 29-Jul-13 12:18:07

My mum owns a twinset but she is Mrs Bucket grin

janthea Mon 29-Jul-13 12:18:06

Have I passed the test? I love gin and champagne. LOVE any cake!! Got the pearls but no twinset. Pretty sure my spelling OK. And I even appeared in the Radio Times with Supernanny in an article about Gransnet and grans in general! grin

LizG Mon 29-Jul-13 12:11:35

Done it again - MUST remember to read the whole thread and not just page one. Sorry everyone!

Galen Mon 29-Jul-13 12:10:18

Does anybody confess to owning a twinset?

LizG Mon 29-Jul-13 12:07:53

I am newish Phoenix and I knew it was tongue in cheek. Good job really as I should probably fail all tests put before me smile although I could muster a set of rather yellow looking pearls.

HUNTERF Mon 29-Jul-13 12:03:56

Galen

I can remember somebody at university saying the only sane person is yourself.

Frank

And, if you believe either of the last two posts, you'll believe anything and will fit right in here!confused

merlotgran Mon 29-Jul-13 11:10:01

I'm very serious when I'm sober!

Galen Mon 29-Jul-13 11:08:25

As one of the very relatively sane members, may I assure the 'newbies' that a lot of us are very serious and sober people!

glassortwo Mon 29-Jul-13 11:00:09
