HQ deletes posts that insult or attack another poster or posters directly, or ones which advertise. That's it. That's the rule. So if a post has been deleted, that's why. What could be simpler?

So if you just come on GN and find a post or thread has been deleted, then it's just tough luck if you missed it and want to know exactly what was in it – unless someone tells tou privately of course.

Why should HQ waste time telling us the same thing every time they need to delete something. The reason is always that it broke GN rules.

What I marvel at is their good humoured patience in the face of all the silly complaints.

Except that a lot of their later posts were deleted, so Brenda can hardly make an informed judgement on whether or not they kept to the guidelines.

She can judge by the general tone of their undeleted posts, and the reaction of moderate posters to the ones which have vanished, and extrapolate from that.

Certainly not me Ana I'm hopeless round a mixing bowl I have 16 coming on Sunday from Age UK for afternoon tea and I'm panicking. It'll end up being a re-run of school fetes when I roughed up M & S cakes in an attempt to make them look home made.

However, it wouldn't surprise me if jings wasn't really referring to wolves at all, and that that's why there were complaints.

I've just come back to this thread and would concur with elegran.

However, when I used the word 'worthy' I was not talking about threads or posts but posters being made to feel unworthy. There does seem to be a very strident group of people, mostly with left wing views, who allow no other opinion to go unchallenged in the most vociferous way, even in the interests of keeping GN peaceful.

GN is the most wonderful place when one needs support and can also be silly, informative and the place for a good gossip. I feel it is a shame that serious threads seem to be very vicious and dismissive of even the most tentative disagreement.

I would like to thank all the posters who have supported me in my various tribulations and joys
