It's the Today programme. It most definitely is NOT a "show". hmm

This is not pedantry. It could make the powers behind Gransnet look slightly daft. And we wouldn't want that, would we?

In the 80's we lived in a house alongside a Coniferous wood, we had terrible reception on the TV so got the engineer out to check what was wrong, he said when the leave's drop off those trees you will see a difference ...it's the leaves causing the problem hmm Is that right I said!!!!

thatbags Sat 12-Oct-13 18:59:12

Get onto them again, galen.

Galen Sat 12-Oct-13 18:56:38

Mine is still crashing!
Have GNHQ got any response to Heathrow enquiry?
I haven't!angry

JessM Sat 12-Oct-13 18:42:23

Oh well I've got a pre-emptive apology in the GN bank then. Useful.

janeainsworth Sat 12-Oct-13 14:21:07

We had the same problem solved also with a new free router - by not before BT had insisted it was something to do with the cables getting wet in heavy rain and dug up a large length our road shock
We came back from the States to find a large trench had been excavated across our driveway preventing access in or out of our drive! shock

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Sat 12-Oct-13 13:05:03

I'm not saying a word. Though this week OH complained to a company (rightly) and got a quick and satisfactory response/apology and said he had learned from the master grin

(Actually granyactivist - we had the same problem and BT sent us a new router and it's never happened since)

j08 Sat 12-Oct-13 12:54:27

She would put it on Twitter.

j08 Sat 12-Oct-13 12:53:55

Cari probably could! smile

grannyactivist Sat 12-Oct-13 12:34:37

Have you had these superpowers all your life jingl? Do they work anywhere? If so, could you please use them to get BT to provide me with a wi-fi connection that doesn't keep crashing ten time each day? grin

j08 Sat 12-Oct-13 12:11:33

They've changed it! They've changed it!

Cari has changed it now. That is good. smile

soop Sat 12-Oct-13 12:02:21

grin

j08 Sat 12-Oct-13 11:42:00

Hooray! I've got a reply. smile

I mean, thank you Cari. smile smile

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Sat 12-Oct-13 11:38:15

<holds hands up in surrender> you are absolutely right. It will be changed <adopts stern tone> Right. Now.

Anne58 Sat 12-Oct-13 11:20:40

JessM , you definitely did not use the word "show" ! I think HQ might have chosen to use that word, but could be wrong.

Ana Sat 12-Oct-13 11:20:18

Not down to you Jess - you referred to it as 'The Today programme'.

Anne58 Sat 12-Oct-13 11:13:21

grin

Aka Sat 12-Oct-13 11:13:00

It's your mission in GN life J0 wink

j08 Sat 12-Oct-13 11:11:16

I seem to be creating confusion - again. hmm

janeainsworth Sat 12-Oct-13 11:02:48

Um... are you on the right thread Jess? smile

JessM Sat 12-Oct-13 10:33:01

if it was me I stand corrected. Must slow down and re-read my posts more carefully so as not to upset other members. blush

j08 Sat 12-Oct-13 10:10:54

Although I'm not sure about "love".

j08 Sat 12-Oct-13 10:09:56

Exactly.

janeainsworth Sat 12-Oct-13 10:08:30

blushblush
I never look at those thingsgrin
But yes I agree with you j08
Makes the programme sound like a cheap TV show instead of the high-minded, intellectually stimulating programme we know and lovegrin

j08 Sat 12-Oct-13 10:03:50

No!!!
