This is a lecture by Bernadette John of Kings College London, warning her students about how anything they put online will impact on their future job prospects and careers, and how social media actually work. ("Facebook users aren't Facebook's customers - the advertisers are")
Although the lectrure is given to clinical students, warning them not to make Facebook friends of their patients or tutors, it may be worth a look for anyone with DGCs at uni.

Hello jane

I haven't got time this morning to listen to the whole lecture (will come back to it later) but I totally agree with the principal.

I have mentioned before the person where I worked who would look at applicants FB page as part of the initial "weeding out" process.
