...Homecraft.

Where we can discuss all the small, but oh-so-important, things involved in keeping our homes running in a ship shape and Bristol fashion.

Ariadne Sat 14-Dec-13 17:41:23

There are several posters with a jingl style of writing at the moment, I think? Maybe I just hear voices...

rockgran Sat 14-Dec-13 17:33:33

I've just tidied my toiletries and make up drawers because I just received some stuff I had ordered online. Really enjoyed it because I am that SAD! Also looking forward to receiving some new pans I have ordered - I can get really excited about a new kitchen utensil. tchsmile

merlotgran Sat 14-Dec-13 15:44:55

I made three Christmas wreaths with two of my dgds today. Does that count as homecraft? [Stepford Wife] emoticon.

Galen Sat 14-Dec-13 15:35:34

Is it a craft or an art?
Apropos of which I once found a book called 'the art of fatherhood' in the section labelled arts and handicrafts?

Riverwalk Sat 14-Dec-13 15:23:53

'Homecraft' .... sounds so soothing! tchsmile

Stansgran Sat 14-Dec-13 15:20:52

I would like a silicon macaroon mould in my Xmas stocking. And I've just put a ham hock in the slow cooker. And ironed DH's hankies which is a very soothing occupation while the wind is blowing the feathers off the birds. Life isn't all haha hehe as the wise mother said.

joannapiano Sat 14-Dec-13 13:19:15

Can't wait for Christmas Day to receive my new bread bin DD2 is getting
me! (Couldn't afford the one I wanted as DH's new hearing aids cost so much) Can't believe I've come to this!

Anne58 Sat 14-Dec-13 13:16:08

I had a ewe like that once. She was huge. Was also occasionally referred to as "a symphony in beige"

Soutra Sat 14-Dec-13 12:22:59

"As stately as a galleon..........." (Joyce Grenfell) tchgrin

Galen Sat 14-Dec-13 11:10:16

I suppose I could be described as shipshaped--- a galleon in full sail!tchgrin

Soutra Sat 14-Dec-13 11:03:16

Bristol based grannies would presumably be at an advantage hmm

Ana Sat 14-Dec-13 10:33:18

Ana Sat 14-Dec-13 10:32:46

We have got a House and Home forum. There's some good stuff about washing tea towels and rotary clothes dryers on it... tchgrin

Galen Sat 14-Dec-13 10:22:36
