...Homecraft.

Where we can discuss all the small, but oh-so-important, things involved in keeping our homes running in a ship shape and Bristol fashion.

tchsmile comes out as chenille if not kept a careful eye on.

Icyalittle Thu 19-Dec-13 11:06:51

jungl I mean jingl What did you think you were writing that came out as chenille? Given what my iPad does to my writing, I'm always interested in how things evolve for others grin

Lona Thu 19-Dec-13 10:39:49

Chenille is very comforting tchwink

jinglbellrocks Thu 19-Dec-13 10:26:53

jinglbellrocks Thu 19-Dec-13 10:25:50

jinglbellrocks Thu 19-Dec-13 10:25:15

This thread is very accommodating. [chenille]

jinglbellrocks Thu 19-Dec-13 10:24:23

Yes. I thought it might have been. tchsmile

Lona Thu 19-Dec-13 09:34:56

blush Previous post should have been on the 'Good morning' thread!!
Am now looking for the plot grin

rockgran Thu 19-Dec-13 09:32:11

Thanks for your good wishes, everyone. I did eat rather a lot of chocolate and it did actually make me feel better. I'm sure it has no more sugar then cough mixture and it tastes a lot better. What with that and Vicks on the feet I think I'm turning into a mad granny.tchconfused

jinglbellrocks Thu 19-Dec-13 09:29:56

No!!! Everyone knows the purple one with nut and liquid toffee in it is the very best!

We seem to have a bit of blue sky here in Exeter, so I had better get my lazy oompah out of this bed before DH starts his usual "are we going out for a walk then?" tchhmm

Lona Thu 19-Dec-13 09:16:26

Good morning netters, I'm up late again after another fantastic night of unbroken sleep! Sorry to boast, but it doesn't happen often smile

The sun is shining here and it looks chilly. How dreadful for all the people whose homes have been flooded or damaged, we are so lucky here.

Have a good day sunshine and take it easy rockgran!

LizG Thu 19-Dec-13 08:57:39

I keep trying to think of something clever or funny to put on this thread and then just when I think I have it sussed the darn thing 'morphs': pancakes; saucepans; white noise. Oh blow it, my favourite Quality Street is the green triangle but do be aware that there are many other brands of chocolate from which to choose.

Do hope you soon feel better rockgran

Sewsilver Thu 19-Dec-13 08:27:48

You may find that you need quite a lot of them before they start to work rock gran. Hope you're soon feeling better

rockgran Thu 19-Dec-13 07:51:32

I,m still recovering from a chest infection so treated myself to a tesco delivery. (They gave me a £9 voucher so it seemed a bargain.) No Wrestling with other shoppers thank goodness. If we haven't got it now we'll do without. DH is happy to fetch veg later. The only trouble is that I,ve already started on the Quality Street - purely medicinal of course. tchsmile

ninathenana Thu 19-Dec-13 07:10:24

Tesco have legs of lamb half price at the moment. There is a maximum of 2 per customer rule.
I want some for NY day but no room in freezer tchangry

Lona Wed 18-Dec-13 16:06:41

It's ok Nonu, I think everyone else had already bought theirs, which is why only 2 were left smile

whenim64 Wed 18-Dec-13 14:53:38

I've ordered the Ocado Lamb, too. They've got a Smart Pass offer for free deliveries for three months at the moment. No strings, no need to cancel at the end. With offers, it works out the same or less than Tesco.

Nonu Wed 18-Dec-13 14:32:29

You are like the woman in Morrison"s the other day Lona , they had reduced their haddock so I picked one up to look and she just up all the rest. I thought better of saying " Oi you I was going to have them "
What I have to put with is no-body's business !!
LOL

Lona Wed 18-Dec-13 14:23:08

My local Sainsburys have a half price sale on full legs of lamb at the moment. They seem to do it before Christmas every year. None left now 'cos I bought them all!

There were only two left! tchsmile

Riverwalk Wed 18-Dec-13 11:51:34

As you seem to be such a domestic goddess I wasn't surprised at your freezer fully of pasty.

tchhmm it's years since I ate a pasty!

jinglbellrocks Wed 18-Dec-13 11:28:35

PastRy!!!

jinglbellrocks Wed 18-Dec-13 11:27:55

I've had that joint before. It's lovely. Almost wish I hadn't booked a table at a pizza joint for Sunday now. Got to please the kids though. And don't want to pre empt Xmas roast dinner. Freezer stuffed full of pasty! tchhmm

Riverwalk Wed 18-Dec-13 11:14:59

I was just amending my Ocado Xmas order and there's a flash sale of West Country boned whole leg of lamb half-price .... £11 instead of £22.

Thought I'd let my fellow homecrafters know! tchsmile
