Calling all gransnetters! Please fill in our census - there are some really fab prizes up for grabs...

Here at GNHQ, it's vital for us to build up a profile of all the splendid people who are using Gransnet to help us attract the most appropriate advertisers and sponsors as well as find out how everyone feels about the site. So we would very much like everyone - this means ALL gransnetters! (whether you've joined today, been here since day one, if you post on the site every day or are happy lurking, if you're overseas or even a man smile) - to complete our census. This is our second census survey and we'd love as many people as possible to fill it in.

As a special thank you, we've lined up some truly great prizes - worth in total over £1600! Everyone who takes part in the survey and adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw, in which you could win one of the following:

A 5 star self catering break in North Wales with Best of Wales
A Miele Scout RX1 robot vacuum cleaner worth £700
A collection of DVDs worth over £100
One of two selections of Cracker Drinks plus a picnic basket worth £45

For more details and T&Cs please click here.

Please do take the time to fill in this survey and tell us all about yourself and how you use Gransnet. Just so you know, there are 50+ (very interesting) questions.

All responses are confidential and no individual details will be passed on to any third parties. Here's the link again.

Thanks (and good luck).

Congratulations to the winners. sunshine

I do wonder how representative a census of members will be when there was a potential for 'compers' to enter just to get the prizes.

As with other prize winning threads, it seems that anyone can enter just be becoming a member (and then disappearing) rather than by being a member.

I have absolutely no axe to grind as I have said on lots of other threads having won a couple of really good prizes myself.

hi - sorry only just saw these posts: henetha and Lona you have both done the census - in early July! It was open for a long time...!

Lona Mon 01-Sept-14 18:09:13

That doesn't seem very fair Ann, there a several members on this thread who haven't been able to access the census in the first place!

henetha Mon 01-Sept-14 11:49:13

I had not aready completed the survey, due to the fact that I never could get onto it in the first place.
Anyway, it's closed now, so that's that. Not the end of the world.
Thank you Gransnet for replying.

hi - sorry for the radio silence on this one...the reason it sometimes doesn't work is if you have already completed the census...it doesn't let you do it again. Will do the prize draws and announce winners here in the next day or so...
thanks Ann

Just tried again; been trying for weeks now. The link just takes me around in circles. Why is no-one from Gransnet responding to this?
I am puzzled. Is anybody there. please?

stoogo Sun 31-Aug-14 13:33:46

Like loads of you, can't get to the census to fill it in! Not just a senior moment at Gransnet, surely - please get it fixed!

Charleygirl Sat 30-Aug-14 14:47:44

As mentioned I have been in touch with GNHQ but it works their end so I must have filled it in already. I am aware that my memory is failing but I know I have not filled this one in.

dragon123 Sat 30-Aug-14 06:28:52

Well I would if I could but the link doesn't work grrrrrr.

Charleygirl Fri 29-Aug-14 11:49:35

I have been in touch with GN. It is working fine at their end so I have described in detail what has happened to myself, Aka henetha and possibly others.

With luck it may be sorted today. I doubt that GN have read these posts as I do not think that they understand the scale of the problem.

Iamnotanapple Fri 29-Aug-14 02:06:09

No I cant access the census either and its not supposed to close until 31/08/14

Charleygirl Thu 28-Aug-14 22:28:21

Glad I am not the only one thinking I was going bonkers. I go round and round and still no census.

Kittycat Wed 27-Aug-14 23:26:04

Can't do link to Census .

Lona Sun 24-Aug-14 10:22:44

blush I can't really remember but I think I've done this. However, I just tried to check and clicked on every link available and they all took me back to the home page!

joannapiano Fri 22-Aug-14 16:45:56

Link still just taking me back to the home page.

Nonu Sat 09-Aug-14 17:03:12

20 minutes for me to complete !

Strokes hair.!

Galen Sat 09-Aug-14 16:45:04

When do we hear any results (and winners?)

Aka Sat 09-Aug-14 16:29:39

Just reported my own post in case for GNHQ to investigate in case they are too busy eating cake and swigging tea to notice.

Aka Sat 09-Aug-14 16:26:58

GNHQ????

henetha Sat 09-Aug-14 15:52:44

Ditto Aka... exactly the same here.

Aka Fri 08-Aug-14 23:10:55

Can't get into survey either. I click on the link, it takes me to another page with all sorts of GN info, and a tiny box saying census. I click on that link and back I go to the beginning. Round in a circle.

henetha Fri 08-Aug-14 22:30:16

Good thinking. thanks elegran.
Hen.

Elegran Fri 08-Aug-14 10:49:51

I had done it already but on reading these posts I clicked on the link - no problem, up it came.

Have you tried contacting HQ direct, not waiting for them to read the thread? There are lots of threads, and plenty of other things to edit and organise, and maybe they have not noticed the moans on this one.

Or report the post with the unanswered question in it. That seems to get flagged up somehow and answered.

henetha Fri 08-Aug-14 10:00:54

Thanks for your support, Bothiegran.... I have been a bit puzzled by the resounding silence! Never mind, eh. smile
