Calling all gransnetters! Please fill in our census - there are some really fab prizes up for grabs...

Here at GNHQ, it's vital for us to build up a profile of all the splendid people who are using Gransnet to help us attract the most appropriate advertisers and sponsors as well as find out how everyone feels about the site. So we would very much like everyone - this means ALL gransnetters! (whether you've joined today, been here since day one, if you post on the site every day or are happy lurking, if you're overseas or even a man smile) - to complete our census. This is our second census survey and we'd love as many people as possible to fill it in.

As a special thank you, we've lined up some truly great prizes - worth in total over £1600! Everyone who takes part in the survey and adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw, in which you could win one of the following:

A 5 star self catering break in North Wales with Best of Wales
A Miele Scout RX1 robot vacuum cleaner worth £700
A collection of DVDs worth over £100
One of two selections of Cracker Drinks plus a picnic basket worth £45

For more details and T&Cs please click here.

Please do take the time to fill in this survey and tell us all about yourself and how you use Gransnet. Just so you know, there are 50+ (very interesting) questions.

All responses are confidential and no individual details will be passed on to any third parties. Here's the link again.

Thanks (and good luck).

glammanana Fri 04-Jul-14 17:05:55

Wow that was a busy half hour.!!

Marelli Fri 04-Jul-14 17:08:10

Done it. It must've taken half-an-hour, glamma! Nevermind, in that time DH has made the tea! smile

glammanana Fri 04-Jul-14 17:10:33

Oh you lucky thing Marelli I haven't even decided what we are eating to-night ?

shysal Fri 04-Jul-14 17:17:16

Done! Caused me to overbake a batch of chocolate brownies for school fete, more like dense chocolate cake. Heyho! I have enough ingredients to start again (Nigella's everday day recipe).

Galen Fri 04-Jul-14 18:12:59

Done.

durhamjen Fri 04-Jul-14 18:13:19

What's wrong with giving them dense chocolate cake?

rosesarered Fri 04-Jul-14 18:38:52

or even intelligent chocolate cake?

rosesarered Fri 04-Jul-14 18:39:23

this survey took longer than anticipated.

glassortwo Fri 04-Jul-14 20:16:19

GNHQ I really think you should know better than to ask us the following inane question!
" In your opinion, at what age (these days) do you go from being middle aged to being "old"? "

For heavens' sakeshockshock

kittylester Sat 05-Jul-14 09:10:49

Done! Do we get feedback?

janerowena Sat 05-Jul-14 12:00:45

It didn't take me anything like half an hour! What on earth were you all up to? (speedydecisionsRus)

Ana Sat 05-Jul-14 12:28:36

Took me 25 mins and I didn't dither about!

janerowena Sat 05-Jul-14 12:32:39

I can imagine! So I am worried now, what I have forgotten to fill in? No, actually it's maybe because I no longer read magazines or papers, I do it all online now. I did have to skip quite a few sections that simply didn't apply to me.

Ana Sat 05-Jul-14 12:37:13

Same here, the sections didn't all apply to me. Certainly don't buy magazines any more!

janerowena Sat 05-Jul-14 12:40:49

I'm even starting to feel sorry for journalists now. I think it's the magazines' own fault though, they shouldn't have stuffed them full of adverts, which was what put me off them in the first place.

Purpledaffodil Sat 05-Jul-14 15:01:22

Agree with speedy response time janerowena. 15 minutes at most. Maybe did not give each question full and weighty consideration smile

Purpledaffodil Sat 05-Jul-14 15:02:50

And I do read magazines, largely thanks to Tesco vouchers for subscriptions.

janerowena Sat 05-Jul-14 15:41:29

All of mine go on taking family out for meals, they are a godsend for that. I think I was quick because I do Yougov surveys. Only one or two a week, but you do get quicker over time. They give you an estimate and I can usually do them in half the time.

merlotgran Sat 05-Jul-14 23:53:49

Done it.

Coolgran65 Sun 06-Jul-14 20:41:11
